"Dad let me stay home today." Matt responded. He called Kenny dad when talking to friends, because it made more sense than trying to explain how his brothers husband was his legal guardian.

"Oh. Cool, but random." Kailen shrugged. "Whatever, we're glad to have you. We've gotta get one more player to be proper, though." He scrolled through the list, but didn't find any of his friends with the game online, so he put up a search on the game's forums.

It didn't take long, just half a minute later, someone joined and they entered the game, WebofWhispers and BanjoOfTime - a username Kailen found even more amusing now that he could manipulate time - playing against TriforceofAsguard and Nocturnal. Kailen and Stephanie were props first.

Nikolai searched outside the house, closing the door behind Matt so he'd know if anyone came out.
Kailen was grinning widely as he'd become a filing cabinet in a horde of filing cabinets. "I guess you could say we file this rather easy." He tried. He failed, but he tried.
