Lily closed her eyes in answer, and her fingertip lit on fire, but it quickly flickered out. "I'm not very good yet," she admitted quietly.

"I think the only one who's really good with their powers already is Lauren, Lily." Matt assured her.
"Yeah, I'm rubbish at mine too. I have the space powers. You...don't want me to demonstrate." Josh said. "Who's Lauren? Is she going to be here, Matt?"
"I think so. Lauren's the Mind and she's super cool! She's over all the time practicing with Kenny."

"Yup! They're the same." Matt nodded. "It's given her a bit of an edge in training, but she was also really good even before that. She says it's cause she has more time to practice than most people."

"I can't practice at all unless Rick is around." Josh agreed.
"I practice whenever I know mom and dad are gonna leave me alone for a bit or I think no one will see." Lucy said, frowning. She did try to practice a lot, but between her not being able to trust her parents wouldn't see like Lauren could (since Lucy's parents actually cared enough to check up on her) and being fairly popular at school, Lauren had far, far more uninterrupted time.

Sure enough, it was ten to fifteen minutes later when Lauren and Chase knocked on the door of Kennys home. Rakel looked up when she heard the knock. "Someone's at your door!" She hollered to be sure Kenny had heard.
