She looked at him easily enough. Her name was Hannah, and it turned out this 'Derek' was not the first bastard boyfriend she'd had. In fact she had a history of having problems with boys, and it was pretty predictable why; She was greatly attracted to men who heaped love, affection and concern on her one minute and were dominating and controlling the next. Small wonder all of her relationships ended awfully. This latest one had just told her he was breaking up with her for the girl he'd been secretly cheating on her with when she called to ask him to come give her a ride home.

"Okay... I just gotta find a doctor and get an update on my parents..." She started looking up and in the window on the door, and around the halls worriedly, trying to find someone who'd pay enough attention to her to ask.

She nodded and asked.
"I'm sorry, your dad's condition is still unstable and your mother is in surgery, I'm afraid there won't be any information for several more hours yet." The nurse said. "You should go home and get some sleep. Do you have someone to pick you up?"
She nodded and started walking down the hall towards Kenny, not wanting to cry in front of the nurse.
