Lynn was also very new, and she had only seen Vlad maybe two times. She wasn't about to question someone letting them free, even if it had been Ryan himself.

Vlad shrugged, his mind somewhat preoccupied with the lips very close to his own. "I've done very bad things to good people. I don't know that I deserve any child."
Edrin continued going down until he had gotten all the women on that block. He had many to go but was feeling more triumphant by the moment.

"Why didn't you start with that?" Lynn asked, crossing her arms. "How are you going to get them all out?"
"Hm. I thought it was just because you like me," Ryan said, as he heard one of the babies start to whine. "Shshsh. Daddy's here." Ryan picked her up, gently rocking her. The little girl looked almost exactly like him, with his hair and eyes, yet she had been one they'd obtained elsewhere.
