Joan sighed. She'd meant that at a joke, but then she'd had ten years to get used to the fact her friends were dying off. She'd just been trying to lighten the mood a little."Alright." He wasn't wrong, anyway. Leia's power was too useful to them for Ben to let her survive long.

When Ben finally got home, he took the disguise he had off gladly. "Let's do this outside, I have no idea how dust reacts to electricity and I don't care to find out," he said, putting all his things down carefully.

Joan nodded. "I have a small backyard we can go into without you being seen." She led him out back. It was clearly a well-kept garden once, but Joan's long absences had caused most of the plants to be choked out by weeds. "alright, I'll just shock your arm, that way if it does hurt you the injury won't inhibit you too much"

Joan nodded and turned the taser on t the lowest it could go. She still flinched slightly at the sight of the electric current. She looked up at Ben and bit her lip. After a moment, she pressed the taser to his left arm.

Ben flinched, as though he hadn't been expecting it to hurt. His eyes glowed green and the taser started to short-circuit as he forced the electric charge to stay in the device.

He didn't get much chance to play with it. The second his eyes started to glow Joan jerked back violently and the Taser shut off as she took a defensive position.

Ben grimaced and his eyes went back to hazel. "Sorry," he mumbled, and turned to go back inside.

"Well I figured that."Joan said impatiently, but before she could continue her phone rang. "Uh oh...." She bit her lip and answered it. "Joan speaking. Understood. Won't be long. Call you back for an update." She hung up. "He's attacked."

There was a black car with a siren at the top waiting outside for Joan when Ben made it outside. Joan wrenched the back door open and slid inside in seconds with the air of having done this a billion times. "Wait for my friend, he's coming too." She told the driver.
"You actually found someone you think can stand up to Ben?"
