Kenny had hurried up the grounds fast enough to catch up with his sister, for which he was thankful since he wasn't sure he could find their next class. Then he noticed August nearby. "I'm glad you're okay," he told her.

August turned to see Kenny beside her. For a moment the cloud in her mind broke and the events of the night prior broke through to her. However, something inside of her said to ignore it and the boy, to just remain silent. She looked away from him, bit her lip and held her History of Magic book close to her chest, no words slipping away from her.

"I would have done something if I could, but there's no way anything I could have done would have helped," Kenny said. He sounded really guilty.

August continued to walk but was still in step with Kenny. Trying her best to stay silent, she clenched her book tighter and shrugged as a response to his words.

August tried to turn and smile at Kenny but all that would happen is her biting her lip harder. She did turn to face him but didn't make eye contact, just sending her eyes right back to the floor bellow her. Wanting the day to be over soon.

Kenny looked down and hurried to catch up to his half-sister and her friend.
Lynn looked up at him and smiled. "Hi, Kenny." She had been talking to Andrea about classes.

August watched as Kenny left her side and looked she could feel a drop in her stomach. She walked fast and past the group she had been following, already overhearing other Slytherins first year mention they were to got to History of Magic. She moved fast enough to be one of the first students in the class.

Andrea was smiled at Kenny when he showed up, knowing it was a good idea to begin networking between students. Nevertheless she wasn't entirely sure she was welcome in this conversation, so she stayed quiet and let one of them speak to her first.
