Not being a master of social cues she replied, thinking that if he asked her a question, he'd want an answer I spent a lot of time with my cousin after I got my books. It's the only thing to do when I'm around her she then added I'm glad I am not alone in the class who came prepared

August smiled back slightly. The conversation was making the class pass by faster. With nothing else to say, she stopped replying, noticing that the class the nearing it's end.

Professor Binns looked over his class, finishing his lecture with the assigned reading. "I want all of you to read and take notes up to page 75," We will be learning about it next week. Bring your notes.
As August began to pack up her books, she turned to Tanner "I guess we're not too ahead on the reading anymore, are we?"

After constant annoyance from her cousin on how to properly read for school, August was thankful that Nezzera had told her to always take notes. "I'd offer you mine but I think he'd just end up taking points away from your house," August said.

After the prior nights experience, August began to truly think over things before she said them. She looked at her class mate "I didn't have the chance to be around people my age before so..." she paused to think of the proper way to explain it "Yesterday was different for me." She was just about ready to leave the room when she added "So, thanks"

Tanner looked a little surprised. "Um, no problem." He smiled back at her. He was still apprehensive, but he wondered if maybe she wasn't all bad.
