As Professor Harris watched his first class exit his room, he saw the first years through the crowd, trying to push their way into the room through the upperclassmen that were just leaving. He walked to the front of the room and stood in front of his desk, watching each student as they walked through the door.

Evangeline had lost Nikki somewhere in the crowd, but she didn't think she was too far. As it so happened, Evangeline was first for something yet again. She came into the class and sat down near the front.

Nikki walked in, eager to begin the lesson. She was starting to wonder why her parents hdn't called yet, though. Normally they were much more fussy than this.

Wesley sprinted into the room at top speed and practically threw himself into a chair. Then he looked back at the door. The smile dropped off his face and he sighed. Normally even when he and Tanner didn't have class together they'd race each other to one of the doors. But he wasn't even sure now where his brother was. He hoped, wherever Tanner had gone off too, he was at least having a good time.

Adam entered not long after Wesley, and came to sit by his fellow Gryffindor.

[Sar]

As the seat finally began to fill and the clock marked the beginning, Professor Harris walked to the middle of the class. Not much had changed in these rooms since he had attended class in this very same room. The two rows of seats on each side of the class room with an opening in the middle. However, unlike his time here, the room was completely clean, with all books on shelves and on his desk there wasn't even a quill out of place.

"Good Morning Class, I am your charms teacher Professor Harris," He looked around the class at all of his students, moving onto introduction instead of waiting for a greeting back. "Though it is only your second class of the day, I can assure you by the end of it you will be exhausted mentally due to the repeated introduction to the rule and regulations and exhausted Physically, for you'll be lugging books around from class to class." His voice was most serious and his eyes stern, as they seemed to watch all students at once. "Hopefully I can fix that," His tone changed and though it was far from friendly, it was approachable. "Today we are going to start the the feather-light Charm. So all of you open your books to page thirty-seven and we will begin."

Nikki grinned and opened the book that was already on her desk. She couldn't wait to start.

Wesley sighed, and pulled his books out of him bag, disappointed he couldn't even strike up a conversation first.

[Raven]

"Did you like flying, then?" Adam asked in a whisper as he opened his book.

[Gifted]

"Love it." Wesely whispered back with a grin. "I've been airborne since I was like three. Got a Nimbus 2020 at home. Pity they don't let first years bring their own brooms, though."

[Raven]

"Least there's next year, right?" Adam asked. "I can't wait til I get one." His eyes lit up at the thought.

[Gifted]

"Yeah, at least there's that. You gonna try out for the quidditch team next here?" He asked.

[Raven]

"I don't know what that is," Adam admitted, glancing at his book.

[Gifted]

"You don't know what Quidditch is?" Wesley was shocked. "Oh, just you wait till the first school match it's the best sport in the world! Playing it's like the only reason to learn to ride a broom!"

[Raven]

"I've never even heard of it... I was raised by my mum, see. She's a muggle," Adam explained.

[Gifted]

"Huh. My parents are together, so I've seen a little bit of both... my brother knows more about muggles than me, though. Hmmm...." He thought for awhile. Finally he asked "You watch... I think it's called... basket...ball? Or whatever that one where they throw the orange ball in the hoop is called?"

[Raven]

"Yep, basketball," Adam confirmed, nodding. He envied the other boy, just a bit, growing up in the magical world.
