Ryan approached August's bed, checking to see if the girl was awake.

August began to wake up slowly, lightly tugging at her restraints. When she opened her eyes they began to focus on a figure but she was too freshly awake to see exactly who. She went to ask who it was but her throat was too dry to let the words out.

Ryan was annoyed. She had to do it before August could see who she was. She took a minute to compose herself. Jesse had taught her how to do an effective Unforgivable Curse; you needed to really mean it. You had to want to cause any pain you caused. There couldn't be any doubts. She pointed her wand at August and spoke in an ice cold tone. "Imperio."

A look of shock came across August's face before a feeling of nothingness. Like she was floating in her own brain. She knew she was still in her own body but at the same time she wasn't.

Ryan felt the feeling flow through her arm and smiled. She directed August to pick up her schedule and go to classes s though nothing was wrong, and to only speak as if asked a question by a teacher.

Nezzera sat in a chair reading a book, waiting for Jess to arrive. It had been a long first day of classes and Nezzera was ready to just finish her reading and end the day. Yet she still had the meeting.

Jesse entered the room, gad someone was finally going to talk to her about this. Maybe it was just an overreaction... but maybe it wasn't. Someone needed to look into Beatrice and her reluctance to have Lynn punished. "Hey, Nezzera." She greeted.

Nezzera looked up from her book to see Jesse in front of her. She closed her book and set it on her lap. "Good day to you, Jesse." She paused before adding "You have a worry?"

"Yeah. It's about Beatrice and her attachment to that little one, Lynn. She refused to let me use the last resort on the girl despite her being almost as annoying as August."

Nezzera looked down at her book, reviewing the situation in her mind. Events like this couldn't be allowed to happen. Though it wasn't Lynn's fault her sister had shown weakness, she would probably be the one to reap her sisters punishment. "Well," Nezzera said, looking up from her herbology book "We really only have two ways we can go about fixing this problem. One, we can have Beatrice re-pledge her allegiance by giving her sister the full punishment. Two-" Nezzera stopped, before listing the boring idea of just punishing Beatrice with a hex a better idea came to mind "Two," She repeated "We can have her sister punish her. That way we can find out if we have Lynn's full allegiance, Beatrice learns her place and the security in are lower ranks becomes stronger, since they'll have a proven first year in their presence." Nezzera bit her lip and added, "Of course Lynn is only a first year so her talents would be described as limited... But I know we could probably figure something out."

Jesse nodded. "I could teach Lynn some of our basic torture spells, it shouldn't be too hard for her to learn say, Diffendo."

"That sounds about right for the crime" Nezzera said, looking back to her book. "It's not often that we get such a rebellious group of first years. It'd be foolish to think that last night would be our only problem with them. The council we need to keep an eye on that,"

"On the other hand, we had some with potential, too. Andrea Wilkins and Kenny Clark in particular both show a lot of promise." Jesse pointed out.

"I recall in Herbology a talk about seeds," Nezzera looked to her book but was no longer reading "Seeds have unlimited potential," she closed her book aggressively, tiring of the subject "But without proper handling they will never reach it. With all of the potential that we might have, nothing will be gained if we aren't strict from the very beginning. Those not punished will assume immunity. I believe that if we are to keep the younger generations going, we will have to introduce them to a taste of power before they become like Beatrice. If Lynn's event goes well we might want to start the first years you mentioned on that track."

"You think you sound so clever when you get all philosophical like that." Jesse grumbled. "Still, I agree with your point. Who should I set them up with? Do you want to take one?"
