Alex pat Rose's head, and then released her, instead resting his head on Jeanne's shoulder. Rose climbed to her feet and wuffed at Bear, trotting along towards the puppy they were with.

Jeanne smiled and put a comforting arm around him. "How are you?" she asked softly, watching the dogs. Bear and Rose looked like a couple almost, staying together and Bear being a very gentlemanly hubby for his beloved doggie waifu.

Rose walked with Bear for a long while before becoming exhausted. She licked his face and lay down in stages.

"Me too," she said with a smile. "Hey, did your mom catch you when you were coming out?" she asked, remembering how it had taken him a little longer than normal to arrive.
Bear lay down with her, nuzzling her gently and providing ample shade with his huge fat body.
