The Stereotypical Evil Overlord Role Play

[Raven]

Alex nodded, and took her to his home, his room. It was the first place he thought of. Rose stood up as fast as she could, which was slower than normal, and came to greet him. Ginger leaped up at them both, yipping happily. Rose whuffed.

[Neon]

Jeanne smiled. "I better get outta here before your mom sees me and thinks we're doing things. I'll see you later, kay?" She asked, patting his head gently.

[Raven]

"My mom doesn't know you're here," Alex said.

[Gifted]

Meanwhile, Gabriel had gone home, certain his wounds were minor enough so as not to raw too much attention and on a strict time limit. Josh had told him multiple times to seriously, go ahead and go, he'd be fine, he could walk. Finally, Gabriel had agreed to leave, telling Josh he could call if he needed anything. Once Gabriel had left, Josh sighed and sat down on a bench. He didn't want to worry Gabriel, and he knew that on average, the Idiot Heroes always went to insane lengths to help their friends. He didn't think it was fair to expect that from Gabriel, so he'd insisted upon sending Gabriel home without any help at all. But now that he was alone, he couldn't deny it.
This leg was far worse than anyone else's wounds. It'd probably heal if he kept it wrapped up like it was... they'd done a good job. But this wasn't a wound you could just get whenever. He couldn't possibly go home like this, how would he explain to his mother? They were all sworn to secrecy about the battles they were fighting... keeping it from your family was the norm anyway... but he couldn't think of any superheroes his age who had to hide it from their family who'd ever had an injury bad enough they needed a hospital. And without his books as a guide he couldn't think of a way around this. How was he supposed to go home without hiss mother seeing his limp, and how was he supposed to keep the truth of how he'd gotten it from his mother...?

[Neon]

"Exactly why it would be really bad if she saw me." She said, smiling although he couldn't see it.

[Raven]

"Then maybe you should stay til she's asleep," Alex suggested.

[Neon]

Jeanne sighed. "What would you like me to do?"

[Raven]

"I just don't want my mom to find you. I guess we could get you home using the rings, though," Alex said.

[Raven]

Francis had come back to the park. He didn't want to go home, even though he wasn't hurt, so it was no wonder he saw Josh. "Josh, where did Gabriel go?"

[Neon]

"If you want to do that. I don't really care either way"

[Raven]

"I wouldn't mind you staying here," Alex said, quietly. He sat on the floor, stroking his dogs.

[Neon]

"Then I'll stay, at least for a little bit." She said, sitting by him, and offered him a gummi worm.

[Gifted]

"Francis!" He was surprised. "I sent him home. I didn't want help... well that's not true. I didn't want help from him. That's more accurate." Josh sighed. "What am I going to do about this leg? If my mom sees it I'll never be able to explain myself."

[Raven]

"Why don't you want him to help?" Francis asked. That seemed strange. Why would Josh accept help from him and not from Gabriel?

"Alright." Alex smiled more brightly than he had all week, and he accepted the gummy worm that got pushed into his hand, chewing on it.

[Neon]

Jeanne smiled, happy to see him happy. She sat there, comfortable with the silence between them, and ate more worms, keeping the bag on his knee where he could feel it.
