HOW WELL DO THEY GET ALONG: Mrs de Vymont had always wanted a daughter. Someone who could learn ballet and help her mother with household chores like cooking, cleaning, and sewing. Someone to wear dresses, speak when spoken to, and act like a lady should. She could only teach her son so much, but a daughter she could do everything with. The girl would read all the classic literature, and have perfect manners. After she had gotten her wish, it had seemed that a daughter would do none of these things for her. Talia was more interested in following her brother around and reading the newspaper with her father. Whenever she wore nice dresses, she always got mud on them. But gradually, with the right amount of force, Talia became the lady she should have always been. Or so her mother thought. Talia acted like a good girl to avoid punishment, but whenever her parents weren't looking, she did as she pleased. She wore pants, and played rough with her friends. She kissed a boy when she was twelve, and kissed a girl when she was fourteen. She rebelled from everything her mother wanted, but only when her mother wasn't around. Though she loved the men in her family, she couldn't have loathed Victoria more.

HOW WELL DO THEY GET ALONG: Talia used to look up to her father, but he never paid enough attention to do anything except side with her mother. She desperately wants to love her father, but Tallie feels betrayed that he never stood up for her.

HOW WELL DO THEY GET ALONG: The huge age gap between Talia and her older brother did little to prevent her from wanting to do everything with him, and Frederick was nice enough to let her. Frederick has always been old enough and kind enough not to bicker with his sister, and they're closer than almost any other siblings. Freddy is the only family that Talia really trusts.
