(( no, I haven't, because they don't do that between classes and when class is in session I'm in class. And even if I did I'd probably just walk faster because I'd be afraid of the teacher being like "why aren't you in class" I got called down to the office once and I swear to god I was in tears because I didn't do anything xD;; it turns out they were asking about how some kid was acting in class )) Soon enough the teacher went back in along with Roseanne. "I'm not teaching the lesson again, Mr Clark, you'll have to get notes from someone," Charity informed Kenny, though she spoke normally now. After class, Kenny approached Roseanne. "Thank you for standing up for me," he told her. "It meant a lot to me." He was as quiet as ever, though he looked her in the eyes like he never did with anyone.

Roseanne smiled. "Of course, any time. The teacher was out of line."

"She was right about the note though," he mumbled.

"Well, then it's something you can remember for next time, right? You just made a mistake. As long as you learn from it and don't get mad, it's nothing to be ashamed of."

"Right," Kenny replied. "Thank you again." He started walking towards his next class, knowing he would never get a note no matter how late he was going to be. Aaron believed that the quieter of the two boys could do nothing right. While the teacher thought he would end up in jail, his father wished he would. 'Prison would toughen you up, I bet. Toughen you up or break you. Either way, you wouldn't be my responsibility anymore, and that would be great.' While Aaron doubted Kenny's ability to make an honest living, he knew Kenny wasn't resourceful enough to do anything else.

Roseanne knew nothing about Kenny's family, but she still felt bad for him. It must be tough to deal with teachers when you had brother like that. People jumped to conclusions about you, couldn't control their tempers, acted rashly. No, it must not be easy having a brother like that.

The next class on Adam's schedule happened to be the class Candace was student teaching for.

Candace was up at the teachers desk discussing the lesson plan for the day. It would be her first day teaching by herself in the classroom. As the bell rang the teacher looked at her with a doubting look thinking 'Innocent girl like that teaching at this kind of school? I give her a week.' Candace on the other hand had been watching this language class for the previous weeks and she seemed to have it under school. But as she watched the teacher leave through the door she tried to hide her fear, seeing how the now quiet class would turn.

"Hey cute thing, how does dinner after school sound?" Adam asked almost as soon as the door had closed. He smirked at Candace.

"Shoot, shoot, I'm late, Ms. Harrison's gonna kill me!" A small brown-haired girl cried worriedly. Ignoring the angry stares, she crammed her books back into her school bag and took the four library books she'd had open in front of her to be checked out. They were all on mythology - a subject she'd been studied intensely ever since her sister had told her about the Virtue she’d been blessed with. Young thirteen year old Mayblee was a model child, intelligent enough to have challenged several courses and already be in highschool for five of her ten classes. She spent her spare time looking up every available bit of information that could have any connection to the sins and virtues in history, anything that could help her dear sister. She went to church, she loved her family, she was humble and patient; Yes, on the outside Mayblee looked like the best child a mother – or a sister – could ask for. But behind her life, behind her so-called well-behaved perfection, Mayblee was a broken, desperate child. From a young age, Mayblee had always looked up to her sister. The two got along extremely well for siblings, and were as good friends as any two girls with such an age difference could be. But as Charity was the elder, she always did better than Mayblee. She could write neater, she was better at sports, she didn’t wear glasses, she was smarter. Of course, the winner got the attention. Their parents probably didn’t even know how the extra attention they showered on Charity was affecting their youngest child. All Mayblee wanted was to get more attention than Charity, just once in a while. Was it so wrong to want one day where you were the most important? Most people got a day that was all about them every year, but Mayblee’s birthday was the same day as Charity’s, so she didn’t even get that. Charity’s Christmas presents were bigger and more expensive because she was older. Charity’s name always came first on the cake because she was older. Charity was always picked to lead the Church choir because she was the better singer. Mayblee just wanted to outshine Charity at something. So she put all her effort into her academics. She excelled. She challenged course after course, proved herself definitively smarter than her older, musically gifted sister. She got A’s on AP courses two grades higher than she should’ve been. And then her sister comes out and tells her she’s a virtue. Her sister was practically a superhero now. How the heck was she supposed to compete with that? How did everything good happen to Charity? That evening, Mayblee had been doing laundry, still fuming with anger and jealousy. Then, she found something at the bottom of the washing machine that sent her over the edge. It was a tiny beaded bracelet, light blue in colour, that had once belonged to their great Aunt and which Mayblee had always wanted. Which, of course, meant it went to Charity. Mayblee always cherished that bracelet. And Charity had let it go through the wash. Her fury peaked at that moment, and everything changed. Though it wasn’t any different, to her the bracelet suddenly looked different. She realized then that there was a way to compete with her sister, the Virtue. She indulged her Envy for the first time in her life and stole the bracelet. Her sister thought it got lost in the wash, but it became her item, forever on her wrist under her long-sleeve white blouse, The item of the sin of Envy, claimed by the sister of Diligence, Mayblee. She would outshine her sister, even if it meant betraying her and every other virtue and sin to do it.

Candace stared blankly at her student. 'Dinner?' she question herself 'But wouldn't lunch be after- oh,' the meaning behind the words. "Uhm.. I'd have to decline that offer." she then started right one the lesson. "So can anyone tell me waht a rhetorical strategy is?"
*if no one answer either skip to end of the day though adam can always be a smart ass, that's always appreciated*

She bit her bottom lip and said "Correcting the quiz you're just about to take. I was going to review and have it tomorrow but today is fine." She remembered back to teaching school, how this strategy could be used in classes, mass shaming the student into proper behavior.

Mayblee just then ran down the hall and to the door. She knocked, looking deeply embarrassed.

"In that case it won't take long at all. We'll all fail, except that freaky genius in the front." He smirked. "So I'm sure you'll be done in time."
