Deborah went into the kitchen and came back with water. The house Owen had helped her rent was furnished, and it felt amazing to her to be blessed with simple luxuries again like chairs. She gave Ryan his glass and sank down into the remaining chair.

Deborah made some soup, since that was really all she had. "Here we are." Se said when it was done. "Dinner's ready!" She handed him a sml bowl She hadn't made much, not wanting to waste it.
