Owen nodded. "Here, let me turn this thing on," He said, fiddling with the walkman. He thought it odd Ryan would give that sort of information without question, but didn't call him on it because that could lead back to Tyler... Owen didn't really want Ryan to associate him with his stepfather. "you have to put the little circular ends up to your ears. I warn you though, it's really, really loud.

Ryan nodded and held it a bit away from his ear, hoping sound wasn't given off by some kind of contact transmission. Then again, this was supposedly from times before that kind of technology.

Owen nodded and hit the on switch. Afer a moment or two, the "Disposable Heroes" intro started playing.

Ryan tilted his head. "That is strange." He listened a moment more, then handed the rest of the device back to Owen. "And you have no idea what it is?"

Ryan nodded slowly. "Maybe there's some mention of it in one of my books, but it would take forever to check... and most of these books seem to be guesses of the future... some of them were completely rediculous. I can only think that the world was a Wendy back then," Ryan said, summing up just about every history lesson he'd ever missed.
