Slytherin Common Room

[Raven]

Jeremiah was the first prefect to arrive back at the common room. "First years will find their dormitories upstairs; boys to the right, girls to the left. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or the other prefects. Good night." He waited for the students to go to bed before sinking into a chair.

Jesse was glad Jeremiah had done the stupid, pointless interlude the Slytherin prefects were supposed to do. She couldn't care less for the title except the fact she could take house points from other students. And, of course, there was tonight. She sat at a chair in front of the fire waiting till it was sufficiently late.

Andrea wanted to learn more, soon, but she was too tired now to get much useful information out of anyone. so after a cheery "Goodnight" to Lynn, she went to bed. She'd get her info in the morning.

Lynn yawned and went to bed as well.

"You excited for tonight?" Jeremy asked her, raising an eyebrow.

[Gifted]

"What do you think?" Jesse grinned. "Head Boy and Girl on the first day of the school year? We're going to have the best night in all our years at Hogwarts tonight."

[Raven]

Jeremy laughed. "Yeah, a few of them looked like they might resist as well," he said with a grin.

[Gifted]

"Oh, I don't care so much for the super stubborn ones, I just want to watch their faces when they realise this ain't no preeschool picnic." She smirked.

[Raven]

Jeremy shrugged. "I can't wait til someone asks to be an example," he said. Ironically, he had been that kid in his first year.

"We might not have any this year." Jesse pointed out.

[Raven]

"I'm sure I saw some one in there. They'll either stand up or be smart enough to wait until they can run their little mouths," Jeremy said. "I can read them pretty well, you know. Especially when they aren't trying to hide it." For this reason, when he was younger his dream job had been security. Now he wasn't so sure.

[Sar]

A coughing sound came from the Slytherin fireplace. The face of Nezza appeared in the embers. "Excuse me, Jesse," she whispered, trying not to pull to much attention to herself before she knew it was safe to talk.

Jesse saw Nezzera's face in the fire and checked to make sure no one was watching before crouching down. "Nezzera... we're starting initiation pretty soon. What's up?"

[Raven]

Jeremy smiled as he recognized Nezza in the fire. "Hey there hottie," he said, though his smile showed real affection.

[Sar]

Nezza glared and rolled her eyes at Jeremy, but there was an amount of kindness in her eyes if you knew where to look. She changed her facial expression to respectful calm and face Jesse. "I just wanted to give you a warning." She paused "My cousin, Augusta, is in your house. How she even got put into Slytherin, even with the current state of things, I'll never know," Another pause "Anyways, she's always been particularly willful and, even more so, stubborn. So if you would be so kind to give her some extra special attention?"

"Yes ma'am. Guess the Sorting Hat messed up again huh?" Jesse snickered. "I'll use extreme force in Miss Hawthorns case. Thanks for notifying me," She inclined her head, the best she could do for a bow considering she was crouched on the floor.

Nezza lowered her head at Jesse then angrily stuck her tongue out at Jeremy, "Don't be a rebel this year," Nezza then pulled her head from the fire but before she completely disappeared from the fire you could see a smile aimed at Jeremy.
