Ryan nodded a thank you, but didn't reply, for Headmaster Cromwell was just standing up. Soon the whole hall quieted. "To our first years, welcome to Hogwarts. To everyone else, welcome back. I hope you all had outstanding summers that won't be paled too much in comparison to our coming school year. And a message to all: Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus." Cromwell smiled knowingly. "Now, I'm sure you're all starving, so dig in!" He waved his hands and the food appeared on the tables.
Ryan snorted in amusement at the short speech.

"Oh wow!" Nikki cried, shocked when the food suddenly appeared.

"Awesome!" Wesley said pleased but not tottally surprised.

Andrea controlled her reaction better, only smiling and helping herself.

Everyone ate lots of yummy foods!! Yum!

After the feast Cromwell gave an amazing speech, updating everyone on the staff and any other announcements. Then he said to go to bed and had the prefects lead everyone to their dormitories.

August picked at her yummy food but did not take a bite.

[Raven]

Once they had left the Great Hall, Ryan pulled Wesley aside to let the others pass. "I know a shortcut to the dormitory and I got the password already, follow me," he said.

"Awesome!" Wesley grinned. A secret passage! Then he felt a pang of guilt. His brother should be here to see the secret passage. He glanced over to the Hufflepuff table and saw his brother sadly filing out with the other Hufflepuffs. He looked back to Ryan, definately less excited than he'd been a moment ago, but still ready to go.

[Raven]

"We can show him soon as well. It's not like it'll be gone by tomorrow," Ryan said, and led him off to a passage concealed behind a tapestry, which came out down the hall from the Gryffindor common room.

"Wow, that's so neat!" he said. "And no one knows about it?"

[Raven]

"Well obviously we do. I dunno about anybody else, but not very many people do," Ryan replied.

[Raven]

Evangeline was one of the first ten people in the great hall for breakfast. She had that bright-eyed look of a true morning person as she went to take a seat at the Ravenclaw table.

When Kenny finally made it to the Slytherin table, he put his head down and was asleep in just a moment.

[Sar]

Nezzera was the first prefect to bring in her first years, that had to be a plus not having your common room in a tower or in the deep dungeons. "Okay," She said turning to face them as they reached the edge of the Hufflepuff table. "This is our table and you are to come here for all your meals. Feel free to take as much as you want from the table, there will be more, but don't make yourself sick. If you have any questions, be sure to ask me." She then made her way to a spot in the middle of the table which held toast and jam.

Tanner followed the girl meekly to the middle of the table. Originally he was going to ask if he had to sit here or if he could go eat with his brother but he chickened out and just sat next to her.

Nezzera looked over to Tanner and said "Sleep well?" She found this question to be just a tad funny knowing what kind of answers she'd get is she'd have asked a Slytherin first year.

[Raven]

Jeremiah entered the hall with a trail of Slytherin first years, and showed them to their table. When that was through, he went over to the Hufflepuff table. He wrapped his arms around Nezza, and looked down at Tanner. He was still standing. "Who the hell're you?"
