Wesley almost groaned when August caught up, and Tanner wasn't thrilled either. But he said "Let's go or we're gonna fall behind."

[Raven]

"I'm Professor Crue, I teach Care of Magical creatures and am also the Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts. Four per boat, if you will. More than that and it will sink," he said, being perfectly fine with terrifying the first years. "And don't lean out over the edges, the giant squid might get you... Come on then."
Evangeline hesitated, but then led Nikki over to a currently-empty boat.

Nikki followed, getting into the boat excitedly.

Tanner and Wesley slipped through the crowd, trying to lose August again, but couldn't decide where to sit. If they picked an empty boat she'd just sneak up behind them...

[Sar]

August looked at them smiling when she caught up, but when she met eye contact with them she froze. Those faces, that look, the ones her cousins gave her when they got tired of her constant words and rambles. Horror struck her face and as the two started to move forward, August didn't, her feet glued to the ground. Her eyes began to water as they rushed off without her, but she wiped them on her robes and kept up with the group of first years, though staying in the back. This wasn't a good way to start the year.

[Raven]

Adam saw the opportunity and seized it. "Hey, you two, come sit with me," he said to Wesley and Tanner. "We'll just take up as much room as we can." He flashed a smile and leaped in one of the boats, clearly not scared of it tipping.

[Gifted]

"Alright!" Wesley leaped in the boat without another word. "Thanks, man." Tanner got in too, but looked back uncertainly.
"I feel kinda bad for her."
"She was a freak."
"No, I didn't like her either, and I'm glad we don't have to sit with her, but... still." he sighed.

[Raven]

"Who are you ditching anyway?" Adam asked, laying across the second bench.

Kenny found a girl he felt was safe. "Have you seen my brother?" he mumbled, eyes wide.

"Um, where should we sit?" Lynn asked Andrea.

[Sar]

August wiped her eyes again and when she looked up there was another boy. "What?" She asked hearing what he said but confused by the track her mind was on. "No.. I haven't," She sniffed, coming back into control and said "He's probably in a boat.. Do you want to find a boat? We'll probably find him when we get to the castle,"

"This girl named August who sat with us on the train." Tanner explained.
"Yeah, she was a phsycho." Wesley said. "How bout you? Who're you running from?"

[Raven]

Kenny nodded. "Okay... Why are you crying?" he asked, looking concerned.

"My brother." Adam rolled his eyes. "He's the biggest wimp I've ever met. He's probably thinking I got eaten by the Giant Squid." He snorted.

[Sar]

August wiped her eyes again and said stubbornly "I'm not crying. Come one, let's go," She grabbed his arm to help lead him through the crowd, at least that was the excuse she gave it. She really just wanted to not be left alone again.

Tanner and Wesey were kind of surprised. That was mean. But still, they didn't comment. "What's your name?" Tanner asked after a minute.

Andrea waved Lynn over to an empty boat, decideding not to sit with anyone.

(nikki will ask to sit with Kenny and August when they find a boat.)

[Raven]

"Adam Clark," Adam replied. "Yours?"

Lynn followed with a skip in her step. "So... do you have a house in mind?" Her eyes were gradually becoming bright green and her hair the same red-blond as her brother's. Clearly, she was much less shy now that she knew she wasn't around older kids.

Kenny stumbled after her. "Sorry... My name's Kenny."

[Sar]

"I'm August," she said, her tone starting to cheer up a little but she was still down. She didn't know how to interact with all these kids. They were all so.. different from her. She hadn't even touched school grounds and she already felt out of place.

[Raven]

"It's nice to meet you, August." He smiled.
