Andrea laughed. "That's funny," she said. She wished she knew what Ordinary Wizarding Levels were, and was glad Liz was asking.

"Eric, you could've just asked me for the gold. I'm not exactly poor, y'know. And now I'm getting a job at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes next summer, too. It's gonna be great." Ryan grinned.
"O.W.L.s or Ordinary Wizarding Levels are the tests you take in your fifth year. You have to pass them at a certain level to get accepted into the class for your sixth and seventh years," Lynn said, crouching down and putting her kitten away.

Eric seemed to frown. "I don't want to be a burden," he casually replied, "Maybe you could put in a good word for me and I could work there, too." It was more of a suggestion than a statement. Liz saddened when Lynn put Mao away, but nodded. There was so much she didn't know, it was almost embarrassing. "May I please pet your kitty?" she asked.

Ryan rolled his eyes. "I understand you working with me, but you're not a burden, Eric. I'm glad for any reason to use my parent's money." He grinned.
Lynn smiled and took Mao back out, moving so she was sitting beside Liz. "Sure." She handed the little cat to Liz. "I'm sorry for calling you those names earlier." Ryan's sister hugged the other girl.

Eric couldn't help but laugh. "If that's the way you feel," he said, "just give me all your money. But I'm not giving up Moriarty just 'cause his tail's messed up." Liz's eyes nearly buldged when Lynn hugged her. "I-it's alright," she replied. Cautiously, she pet the cat. "I'm used to people calling me names..."

Genevieve sat in the less-filled compartment, her brother sitting by her. "Why, 'ello there."

[Raven]

((There isn't a less-full compartment, they both have like, one seat left. I'll have Astin show up, though.))
"Hi," Astin said. He pressed close to his seat. When his cousins had disappeared in the crowd, he'd been forced to sit in an empty compartment.

Ryan laughed. "I understand. But you might want to make sure he can still fly when we get to school."
"Well, that's not very nice," Lynn said. She released Liz, and joined in petting Mao.

"Yeah..." Eric looked up at Moriarty and sighed. An owl that couldn't fly was a pretty useless owl, but they were keeping the crazy brown owl no matter what.

"I know," Liz mumbled. She gently caressed Mao, running her hand from his head, down his back, to his tail and back to his head again.

[Raven]

"You can use O.W.L. if you need to, as always. So can Liz... What house d'you think she'll be in?" Ryan asked.
Lynn smiled. "More importantly, Liiz, what house do you think you'll be in."

[FoxTrott]

"Of course, I love using your owl named O.W.L.," Eric smirked. He still thought it was one of the cleverest names he had heard. He was about to answer Ryan's question when Lynn spoke. He looked at Liz expectantly.

The little girl seemed to shrink under their gaze. "I don't know," she replied, "I'm not brave like Griffindor, I'm not clever like Slytherin, I'm not smart like Ravenclaw, and I'm not hardworking like Hufflepuff, so... I don't know..."

[Raven]

"Well, there's more to each than just that, Liz," Ryan said. "If you don't know what house you'll probably be in, which would you like to be in?"

Liz shifted uncomfortably and looked down at her lap. "I'd like to be in Griffindor with Eric," she predictably replied.

Andrea listened to the conversation, wondering just how long this train ride would take and when they were supposed to change into their robes. Was this something she was supposed to know?

"What about you?" Lynn asked, looking at Andrea. "Andrea, right?"

Andrea nodded. "I don't particularly care which house I'm in. Slytherin sounds cool," She made this judgement purely on what Liz had just said, but they didn't need to know that. "Or Hufflepuff... but it really doesn't matter. I'll work with whatever,"
