Andrea got up only when Lynn pulled her. She really wasn't looking forward to this part, who knew how hard the schedules would be to remember? She had enough on her mind without trying to remember a complicated day plan.

And so Deputy Headmaster In Charge of Certain Things handed out the schedules to everyone, one at a time, ignoring their various looks of excitement or displeasure.

Lynn looked at her schedule. Her first class of the day started in half an hour, and it was flying with Gryffindor. She smiled. That sounded fun enough. After all, Astin would be there too.

Flying with Slytherin. Astin looked over at Lynn and smiled.

Violet looked at her first class of the day, Charms with Hufflepuff. That could be fun enough. And she might get to meet some new students. She walked back to Trisha. "This should be fun," she squealed.

"Flying with Gryffindors!" Andrea said, grinning. "This should be interesting."

"Hey guess what Tan? I'm Flying with the Slytherins first," Wes taunted.
"Hey, no fair, you get to have your first class with August!"
"You have a thing for her, don't you?"
"I do not!" Tanner protested, but he knew his brother was joking. he punched Wesley lightly on the arm. Then he examined his own timetable. "Charms with the ravenclaws," he said, surprised. He looked over at the Ravenclaw table reflexivley. He caught Nikki's eye, who smiled at him. he rexamined his timetable. "Oh come on!"
"What?" Wes said, looking over at Tanners schedule.
"We don't have a class together until tomorrow morning!"
"What?" Wesley said, looking at his own timetable. "That's just messed up!"
Tanner glared in the general direction of the teacher who handed out the timetables, wishing he could do more. What, were they intentionally trying to keep the two away from each other? Having the nerve to stick him in Hufflepuff... then giving Gryffindor and Hufflepuff next to no classes together!
"Hey Tanner," Wes said in an undertone, and Tanner was shocked to see a smile playing on the corners of his lips.
"Yeah?"
"I think I know who the target of our first trick'll be," he said, grinning.
"A teacher?" Tanner cried out in alarm, then lowered his voice, remembering people could hear him. "No, Wesley, I dunno, maybe we should stick to the hallways and work our way up to teachers... I mean, you know how much more likley it is to get caught when the one you don't want seeing you is your target?"
"Oh, lighten up! We always got the teachers before, didn't we? Remember the Drobbles Best Blowing Gum classroom?"
Tanner's mouth twitched.
"Or what about when we let loose both real aand Chocolate Frogs in Mr. Medelwelski's desk, so after biting one chocolate frog, he bit an actual frog?"
Tanner smiled.
"Or slipping Ms. Kelly Cockroach Clusters? or flooding the halls with those reinforced ballons dad gave us?"
Tanner laughed. "Alright, I see your point."
"We can handle teachers. Trust me, I got this all under control." Wesley's grin got wider. "I'll see you at lunch." He exited the Great Hall.

Trisha accepted her timetable without a smile. She knew what classes she'd have anyways, and the order didn't really matter.

Nikki looked down at her timetable. Charms with Hufflepuff. Interesting. Now she just had to find the Charms room.

Astin approached a boy who looked familiar. "Hi," he greeted, smiling slightly.

"Hey," Tanner said, smiling. "What's up?"

[Raven]

"Oh, not much. I just don't really have any friends yet, so I thought I'd come introduce myself... I'm Astin. I'm in Gryffindor, too."

[Gifted]

Tanner smiled. "I'm Tanner. And don't I wish I was in Gryffindor." he laughed. "You're mistaking me for my twin brother Wesley. That's ok, people usually do. I'm in Hufflepuff."

[Raven]

Astin smiled nervously. "Well, I'm sorry I mistook you for your brother, but I hope we can still be friends," he said.

[Gifted]

"No problem Astin," Tanner said, smiling. "So you excited for your first day of class?"

[Raven]

"A little bit. I have my first class with my cousin, but we don't have too many classes together."

[Gifted]

"That's great!" Tanner said. "My only relative here is my brther, and we don't have a class together until tomorrow morning."

[Raven]

"I have lots of family, because I'm a pureblood," Astin said. He didn't sound proud, he was merely stating a fact.

[Gifted]

Even though he didn't sound arrogant, something in Tanner frowned. Of course. Pure-bloods. He tried to ignore this feeling and continue being friendly. "We're half-bloods, so it wasn't of particular importance to my parents to have a lot of kids. Though we do have a sister. Who's six, unfortunatley."

Astin smiled. "I bet she's cute... Maybe me and you and your brother and Lynn can all be friends," he suggested.
