"I believe there should be one in the cuboard next to the fridge in the back..." Dennis wasn't allowed to touch anything back there himself, but he knew there was alchohol, a little food, blankets and a pillow back there. And whatever Elliot wanted would be stocked by the next time Dennis saw him.
The teacher was very concious of her students watching her, and the student teacher sitting only a few feet away. "... You're going to have to ask a classmate to review the lesson with you, I'm not teaching it twice. And this is the last time, you hear? No more shortcuts. I expect you on time." She went outside to deal with Roseanne.

Any other kid might have muttered something about this being the first time. After all, it was usually his first period, not the one right after lunch, that he was constantly late to thanks to his brother. Kenny, however, merely nodded, glad the reprimand was over and with little pain on his part. He took his seat and looked at the board, trying to figure out what the numbers on the board meant.

After a minute Roseanne and the teacher came back into the room and Roseanne took a seat at her desk, going back to work. She didn't look at Kenny, not because she was avoiding him, but because she didn't expect a thank you and was treatig it like any other day. So she sat quietly doing her work.

A little bit frazzled, Candace opened the door to the classroom with her elbow and pushed it open with her back. Her hands were filled with thirty plus rather large packets. She rested her boot against the bottom corner of the door to keep it open. She looked at the class.
