Raven nodded with a sigh. "Well, let's all cross our fingers," she said, crossing the fingers of her free and and holding it up to show she was at least partially serious.

Arianna smiled and nodded. "The clearing should be just up ahead."

"The clearing?" I questioned.

"We'll get to a clearing first... that will probably be the most dangerous bit of the journey. the bad stuff always seems to happen in a clearing, I don't know why." She gave a small smile, but her eyes were sad. "Then we'll go through a little more forest and we'll pass a lake. The edge of the forest is on the other side of the lake, and a little ways from the edge is the outskirts of the city." She explained.

I nodded. Bad things always did happen in a clearing. Which brought another thought. How many times had I killed my character Raven in a clearing? Fuck.

As we walked, I began to think this forest to be ominous, with untold danger lurking around the corner. "So....what are you two doing here?" I asked Dreamcaster, being as nonchalant as possible. He answered in earnest, "I'm not sure. Neither I nor Fix have the slightest idea why we've arrived here. However, after carefully scanning the minds I've detected in this forest, I've found that we aren't alone. In fact, I encroached on a rather interesting mind, one that operated in a way that differed greatly from a normal human's mind." I raised an eyebrow, figuring such a detail didn't really specify any creation of mine, but asked all the same, "Different? How?" He answered, "If I recall, she went by the name of 13. Sound familiar?" I nearly shat myself upon hearing that name. "Th-th-th-thir....Thirteen?" He nodded, saying, "I sense that she isn't someone you'd be excited to meet in person. Nonetheless, just a glance at what her mind holds has shaken me to my core. From what I read, she can see past some ludicrous boundary called the forth wall. I couldn't entirely decipher a good deal of the knowledge she held, but I did determine that you are to be considered a character of interest, along with several other individuals that have dropped into this forest." I blinked, stunned that Dreamcaster had already figured out so much. It was beyond me, but anything that came out of 13's mind was confusing and chaotic. "So...I....." I rubbed at my forehead, flabbergasted. "Do you know where these other people of interest are?" He frowned, shaking his head. "I'm afraid not. I suppose I could stretch my thoughts to contact them, but I'd rather not attract the attention of anyone or anything that's less than friendly. I may be powerful, but this is an unfamiliar realm." I grinned, not caring that Dreamcaster, a practically invincible telekinetic, was worried about what might come our way. "Send the signal! Let everyone and everything in this forest know that we're here!" With a grimace, Dreamcaster halted and held a hand to his temple, then sent out a mental beacon. If I remembered right, such a signal would move like a wave until it hit a human mind, then resound in that mind like a sound. It was something that jolted me rather badly, as if I'd been standing next to a fired gun without any ear protection. "There, that should tell anyone who catches the wave, before it dissipates, where we are. Although, I sincerely doubt the gesture will attract more friends than enemies." I laughed, crossing my arms. "You worry too much. Since when did I ever write abou-" Barnaby jolted with a yelp, causing me tense and cease speaking. He fell limp again, but this time bore a small smile on his face.

((XD)) Arrianna led then into a huge clearing, more of a meadow, really. It was long and shaped sort of like an 8. It seemed quiet.
((If anyone's got a better idea, go ahead. If not. Ima have either Joan or Vivian attack you. I dunno I'll flip a coin.))

"Why so near the lake Rina?" Kenny called, grinning. He was as of yet, out of sight.

Arrianna jumped and backed up immeaditely. "I still wonder why you ask questions you already know the answers to, Kenny." She asked, sounding honestly curious. Of course, he also knew she wouldn't go into town herself, she would leave them at the outskirts.
I jumped when I heard the wave. Who was that? Was it dangerous? Can you tell? I asked worriedly

"You could always go farther around. Unless you mean to get pushed in?"

"Of course not. And I could but it would take longer and there seems to be a sense of urgency here." Arianna said patiently. "Where are your friends? I don't often see you working alone."

"I'm sorry. But I haven't run into anyone else yet. ... I have a feeling there around though." After a second I hear the mental note from Doom's creation. "..." I look in its direction. "...Was I the only one who heard that?"
Sure enough I wasn't. A horrific shriek cries out from the right of Doom and his creations. Calling in response. Whatever it is sounds inhuman and close.

"It isn't often I have them speak for me," Kenny replied. Then the conversation really registered in my brain. "Why are you talking to him?" I asked Arianna, any trust I had of her being obliterated.
Veren didn't seem to notice the noise, and looked up at his 'mother' with a questioning look.

"Because he's knows we're here and what we're thinking even if I don't, so what's the point?"Arrianna pointed out. "This way, we know where he is as well as him knowing where we are. And we've just proved he's got friends around."

I made no move to follow. "You were talking to him like old friends."
