Rise of the Dynasties

Many years from now Japan has taken over the planet by using their means of Visual culture. The children are now being raised with a pride for Japanese culture, and a new Hierarchy as been formed. Those who were born of Japanese decent before the Global assimilation sat on the top, under them were the hardcore Otaku of the world, who were unaffected by the assimilation due to their already existing appreciation for the culture, and beneath them we're the newly initiated. However, this only promoted peace for a temporary amount of time. Soon many different factions rose, and it was only a matter of time before they would begin a new warfare. Warfare is highly affected by Assimilation. Instead of mass invasion, and Blitzkrieg, the system changed to one of patience, and seemingly related to chess. Due to the fact that this has occurred million of years from now the world has changed into a single land mass, with some surrounding islands. The two Largest Dynasties in this rugged Ellipse were Kyoani, and Ukato. the smaller dynasty to the south, on the Prime Meridian was the land of Shonen. Shonen played a neutral ground in hopes of saving it's land, and forming useful relationships with the warring lands hat surrounded all but one side of it. They would act as Safe houses, information brokers, healers, and sell their goods, while Kyoani, and Ukato pinky swore not to invade them(as an otaku you know that pinky swearing is some dead serious s**t >=l) However if only it were this simple. There are some religious sects spread throughout the planetary ellipse. The most powerful one is "Haruhiism", who has mastered the art of torture, and negotiation; They are generally Mercenaries for hire, at the right price of course. But a newer cult known as "The Church of Kira", who is said to have obtained some form of super weapon; Their Domain lies mainly in Ukato, and Shonen, but they're starting to spread into Kyoani as well, their goal is to uproot all nations to create their own perfect world. There is also a small domestic group of people known as, "The Light Tea Club", they generally sit around, eat cake, and talk about how they wish the war would end, however it is unclear if they may be planning something large to aid their cause. The usually spend their time in Shonen, trying to recruit people from all sides of the war to eat cake with them.


This RP system is pretty simple, you will choose where you lie in the conflict of power, be it with a nation, or a religious sect. Your first post should be something along this format

"[insert character name here] part of [insert allegiance here] was [add whatever you want]"

Now the tech level is pretty high, but ranged weaponry is confined to Old style Pellet mechanism rifles, with shock pellets. Melee weapons are ranged from Standard olden weapons-- like Katana, and Stone hammers-- To high tech level energy weapons --Energy Axes, power blades, other shiny things that burn on contact.

I won't have characters in this RP other then NPC's, otherwise I will act as a DM, and say what's going on, when it needs to be said

Katherine Yoshima, part of Ukato, was born into a lineage of proud warriors. However, her father died of a heart attack when she was just three years old. So, she was raised by her mother. She learned etiquette and mannerisms. Her mother was a member of "The Light Tea Club," and she didn't want her daughter to be in any part of the war. However, Katherine's mother died from a stray shot from a rash attack. A gunshot was rare in a war like this, but Katherine was orphaned by the fool who fired. Only eight years old, her hidden malice remained hidden for years. She trained herself to fight with her father's prized Katana. After twelve years of holding a grudge, she killed the murderer, and declared herself a soldier of Ukato. Now, she seeks enemies of importance and kills them when the time is right. She also occasionally "borrows" goods from the merchants of Shonen. Now, she lays in wait, waiting to finish off the last family member of her ex husband.

Katherine sat in the cell, the silence and chilling dark barely taking the toll that should have. She had patience. She had taught herself how to wait. If it took ten years for her escape, so be it. She peered over at the warden. "I didn't steal anything from the armory, you fool." She spat through the bars.

The warden, a middle aged Grizzled man, Looked at Katherine as she declared innocence, "Well, I didn't win the lottery either, so I'm still stuck at this dead end job. Since I'm still working here, I'm not getting replaced by the Ukato government." The warden seemed Sympathetic despite his words.

Katherine slammed her fist into the wall and sighed. She paced around in the cell, occasionally eying the warden with disdain. She dropped back on the bench, and stared at her wrist for a long moment. She nonchalantly rubbed at it, and got up, then continued pacing. Without the warden's knowing, however, she had sent a distress signal to a mercenary she had..... helped. "Better keep sharp, warden. I'm not one who easily stays grounded."

[Sweetheart]

Yousuka 'Yoto' Yotobo, part of Shonen, was sitting back on a wall, enjoying a electonic cigarette, when a beep from his watch communicator. The sent message was blank, but the unit sent from explained everything. Yoto sighed, "I knew this would bite me back." He sat up, picked up his Kanabo, got on his bike, and rode off toward the location of the message.

The Warden smiled, "You're a clever one.", he laughed a little. "Well I'm gonna go on lunch. The key's on the table....not that you would have use for THAT info." He removed a single key, and placed it on a small table in front of the cell, just out of her reach. He gave her a small wink before striding off in typical Shonen clothing

Whether this gesture was a sympathetic offering or a foolish taunt, she couldn't tell, but Katherine had good reason to believe that she didn't really need help now. The key was too far to reach by hand, but she could string together a hook. Her earring would suffice as a latch for the key. She tore up the bed into little strips. It wasn't very sturdy, so it was easy to piece apart. She tied together several small strips, and tied her earring to the end. With a careful toss, she hooked the key and pulled it toward her with a sharp tug. The key flew from the desk and landed within reach. "Why leave a prisoner to escape her own cage...." She asked herself as she opened the cell. She stepped quietly to the door, and grabbed her sheath and Katana while she slipped out. Now free, she bolted, staying hidden as she ran.

[Sweetheart]

Yoto walked up to one side of the wall of the prison. Whistling while walking up to the wall, he set a frame charge on the wall. He walked away, pulled out the electonic cig, and pulled out a detonator. He blew a hole in the wall and looked inside the hole. Seeing the room empty, he sighed. "Of course, she ran off. Even when she knows that help is coming, she runs off like she can escape herself." He walked to the cell door and followed after Katherine, whistling a tune similar to Still Alive.

Two goons from Kyoani stumbled out of the bar, seemingly drunk off their faces. As they saw the Ukato warrior running down the street(this is Katherine) They stoop in front of her, holding out an energy Pike, "where do ya *hic*think your going miss..hehehe"
