Skin tone and type: Naturally somewhat tan, but her skin tone is natural, and you can tell she doesn't get much sun.
Shape of face: Heart-shaped, but round at the edges. She has yet to loose all of her baby fat.
Distinguishing marks (dimples, moles, scars, birthmarks, etc.): She has one small mole on the outside corner of her left eye, and one somewhat-long scar on her back from when she tried to run away from her father.
Habits: Looking over her shoulder, biting her nails, only sitting or sleeping with her back to a wall, or preferably a corner, stuttering when frightened, jumpy. Clearly paranoid.
Drinks: No, that was one of the few things her father would never indulge her in.

Type of childhood: Ryu wasn't really spoiled by her parents at first. But when she was about six, her mother disappeared. Her father continued working for Team Rocket, and some days she would be left home alone with only her Growlithe - a gift from her mother, before she disappeared - to keep her company. Then, one day, after coming home, Ryu's father came to her, and asked her if she would help him. Completely clueless at six and a half, Ryu agreed without a second thought. Without asking what he wanted. As he led her to his bedroom, he told her he would let her have one of his pokemon for her help. Still oblivious, Ryu's only thoughts were of which pokemon she would choose. She didn't think about why he would reward her for her help, only that she was very lucky... Afterwards, she didn't think the same. For the last six years, this has continued, with Tyler showering his daughter with lavish gifts to keep her quiet. Finally, Ryu's only wish was to leave his presence, and so she begged him to let her go on the pokemon journey...

Distinguishing marks (dimples, moles, scars, birthmarks, etc.): A long scar that starts at her collar bone and runs to her hip, and another, two puncture marks at the base of her neck. Has a birthmark below her chin, at the base of her jaw. It isn't particularly shaped like anything.
Habits: Playing with and braiding her hair, alcoholism

Type of childhood: Violet's mother died in childbirth. She grew up not really knowing what a mother was, as she was very shielded by her father. She had a wonderful childhood, despite not being the richest. She had a father who loved her, and that was all that mattered. But when she was fifteen, her father became sick. She aims to become champion so she can afford his treatment.
