"Joseph," said trainer introduced himself. He gently shook Izzy, and the Ditto's mouth widened to catch the falling water. "This is Izzy... we weren't about to let fellow trainers get soaking wet."

Dana smiled. "That's very selfless of you. You're a nice person." she stopped "hust don't put up with people like our mentor." she said, frowning. "that's too nice."

Joseph blinked at Dana. Selfless? All he did was convince Izzy to transform into an umbrella. He shrugged slightly at her comment about their mentor. "I want to be the champion," he replied casually, "I'll put up with her if I have to."
"Ditt!" added Izzy the Umbrella, receiving a mouthful of rain.

"Just because we're against each other, doesn't mean we can't be kind," Joseph replied. He looked down at Ryu, and wondered for a brief moment how such a little kid could be considered among the best trainers. He nodded, and said, equally as quiet, "I think so."

Ryu nodded. "I hope you do. The others kinda scare me," she said, still softly.

Joseph glanced at the two trainers that were still inside, and nodded. "They kind scare me, too," he whispered back. Izzy seemed to shiver in agreement.

Ryu smiled. "But I like you." Her voice, it seemed, was stuck in that quiet tone.

Joseph barely blushed. "Thanks," he replied. Izzy rolled its eyes at its trainer, and created a hole in the umbrella so the gathered water and the rain fell right onto Joseph. Soaked once more, Joseph decided to remain content with his waterlogged clothes, and let himself be tormented by his life long friend.

Ethan stood and walked out without a word, stopping at the door and hearing the rain. He looked down at his shadow and smiled, as it stretched out behind him, and curved up over him. As he walked out the rain quietly hit, and slipped off of it. Glancing around at the others Ethan decided it would be best to remain quiet unless directly addressed.

Izzy's eyes slid from the top of the umbrella to the underside so it could glare at Ryu. Joseph just stood as close to the restaurant as possible, under an overhang that barely shielded him from the rain. Izzy turned into a giant beach umbrella sticking from the ground, still covering the two girls, but glaring at Ryu.

Izzy stuck its gigantic tongue out at Ryu and returned to being a beach umbrella with eyes and a mouth.
"Just ignore him," Joseph replied, rolling his eyes.
