Two hundred years ago the world was in a violant state of war. The seas rocked with violance, the skies roared with smoke, and the land shook furiously. All of the world struggled with peace, all of which was brought on by human error. The creation of a new biological missile only made things worse. Nations pushed and shoved their ways to get the blue prints and use it to their advantage in the stalemate war. Was it not enough that countless of thousands of lives had been taken by nukes and bullets alone?
Then, one day, the world went silent as a missile carrying the deadly biological material shot across the sky and headed towards San Diego, California. It's origin, Toyko Japan. In response to the threat, the US also sent a missile to this origin and claimed war against Japan.
And then, they struck service. No one would have guess that both of the bombs consumed the entire island of Japan, the US, and much of Canada. No one could have guessed.
Several years passed, and after the world was through with the weeping, and was just beginning to heal. The United States and Japan made a Treaty with no only each other, but with the rest of the world. A promise was kept to sink all of the weapon materials and to create a new era of piece. No one thought that the nations would all participate in the Treaty, but surprisingly, through all of the sorrow throughout the nations, everyone accepted the treaty.
All mass destructive weapons were sunk across the globe in the deepest debths of the oceans.
Fifty years later, communities popped up all over the globe. These communities were called Havens. They were described as Utopias, peaceful cities ruled by the people.
An effect of the biological weapons used in the war caused many effects on the genes of people. Color blindness was the most common. The people praised the effects for one reason. They stopped all physical, mental, and psychological abnormalities. Races ceased to exist. This effect was later named Sameness. The communities acted on these effects to their advantage, to create a new era of peace and love.
Years and years past, and the Last Elite, Eli Elburn (the last known survivor from the war) passed his information to his son, Lois Elburn. He was known as the First Giver, and Lois, the First Receiver. Eli bore the burdon of the pain and suffering of the world lost from the war. No longer would anyone but the Receiver know of the world that was left behind. But the secrets would be kept with those two people. The Giver. and the Receiver. At the end of the Receiver's life time, they would pass down the information to a new Receiver, and he would then be known as a Giver. Only the Receiver and Giver would know the truths of the world. Other than them...the world was blind.
Now the future of the Community is in the hands of the next generations. will you search for the light...or will you stay blind?
Any characters welcome!
