[Gifted]

Zoey ran back to Violet, clutching two pairs of identical sunglasses. "I found some good ones!"She said, showing them to her friend and then the salespeople.

"Awesome," Violet said with approval. "We are so going to have the best costumes there."

Kumair was coming close to the city, but he didn't notice until the walls were in sight. He was about to turn around when he spotted and recognized Heather. He walked slowly over to her.

"Definatley!" Zoey cried, handing the money to Gemini for the suits. "Now come on, let's go get the medicine before I flip," Zoey laughed. She tilted her head towards the door.

"Hey Kumair," Heather said, loud enough for him to hear. Her voice wasn't exactly freindly. She had issues with him, for obvious reasons, and wasn't the typeto forgive easily. Most of the gifteds forgave the government, and look what happened to them!

Kumair hadn't expected a friendly greeting, so her tone didn't surprise him. "What are you doing?" he asked softly once he had reached her.

Violet laughed and started towards the door, carrying the suits and taking her friend's hand, pulling her out the store. "I hope there isn't too much of a wait."

"Waiting for the streets to clear before I head out. Not much else to do," She replied. "You going to the party? I heard Zane's going,"

"I know, right?" she said, and lead her friend to the city hall. Medicine would be supplied there, free, by the government.
As usual there was a long line. As Zoey took her place in line, sighing irritably, she saw a guy she recognised walking away from them, holding a syringe, with a brown coat tucked under his arm. "He must've gotten here like five hours ago to get that!" She said to Violet. "Sooooo not fair."

Jared grinned at the poor suckers still in line, the wind playing in his neatly combed black hair. "Afternoon, ladies," he said to the two girls, sending a mock salute in their direction as he walked off.

Violet watched him enviously. "I know, right? It is so bogus that we still have to wait." She sighed.

Emily, having put her syringe in her purse in a special place where it wouldn't get lost, stolen, or damaged, caught up to Jared. "Are you going to the costume party tonight, Jared?" she asked in a pleasant voice.

"Yeah, I am. I heard it's a costume party, actually." Kumair smiled slightly. Costume parties, one place he could almost forget that people didn't like him.

Heather nodded. "Have fun,"

"Course I am, I wouldn't want to miss partying with all the lovely ladies," he smiled at her. "Why do you think I have this?" He gestured to the neatly folded brown coat he was carying.. "I had the uniform specially ordered for tonight. This is gonna be the best party ever!" he laughed.

"Oh that is soooo cheating," Zoey whispered to Violet, listening to Emily and Jared talk.

Quent sighed irritably and got in line. Having finally recalled why he came this way.

[Raven]

Violet nodded. "If I wouldn't loose my spot in line, I think I'd go puke," she muttered, not giving any indication as to what she meant.

Kumair sighed. "Not likely, actually. I just want to see if I can find someone. I know a costume party probably wouldn't be the best place to look, but I couldn't really go to any other kind of party in the city. Hopefully I can recognize her voice..."

Emily glanced at the coat. "What are you going to be? Or is it a secret?" she asked.

"Oh come on now! You'll see at the party!" Jared laughed. "Though I wonder if I should dye my hair blonde for it...and get blue contacts... Nah, I think that's a little TOO in character, right?" Jared laughed and walked away.

"Wonder what he's gonna be," Zoey muttered.

Heather shrugged. She didn't really care. "You have a costume, I assume?"

[Raven]

Emily sighed dreamily, before walking off in another direction.

"I don't. We'll find out all too soon," Violet replied.

"Yeah. I'm going as a pirate," Kumair said.

"that's right," Zoey said.
Maybe an hour later, Zoey and Violet FINALLY made it to the front of the line Zoey eagerly accepted her syringe.

Heather nodded. She didn't particularly care.

Kumair nodded once. "Well, I'll leave you alone, then." He turned and walked back into the trees. It was his own fault no one liked him.

Violet sighed happily. "Now we just have to take it," she said happily. A sudden thought came to her, and she wondered briefly if there were any side effects to taking it twice a week. And, more importantly, if she could get two doses.

"Yeah! Come on, we've gottas go home to take it to dispose of the syringes properly. Here, I still have your costume," She handed Violet one of the two suits and pairs of suglasses. "See you at the party?"

"Definitely. See you there," Violet said, before heading off to her place.
