The room did have a single vent on the celinge, but, the hight of the room was 8 feet tall. McKay would have a hard time reaching it.
Lt. Shelstad smashed the door. The door buckled but stayed still.

Spotting the vent the parasite tries to think of another option. Then the door buckled. It knew it was now or never. It causes McKay to look to the vent. It had come across an odd thing these creatures seemed to be capable of while skimming it’s host’s mind. Something they called sneezing. It splits a small spawn, one that would take its place for capture. The spawn, knowing what it was to do, keeps McKay looking to the vent, and sets up the trigger. The Symboiet moves to where it needs to be. The spawn triggers a sneeze, sending the Symboiet to the ceiling. It quickly shoots off a ribbon, attaching it to the vent. Quickly as it can, it pulls up into the vent and watches at what will happen next. Thankfully the shot hadn’t caused a nose bleed. The spawn knowing it had to sacrifice itself causes McKay to glare defiantly at the door; waiting for it to open. He takes a few steps back so he is not underneath the vent.

Lt. Shelstad charges through the door. He hit McKay square in the chest. He flew across the room to the wall, hitting it with a loud thump. Lt. Shelstad followed up by running to McKay and putting cuffs on him.
"Sargent Willson McKay! You are here by under arrest!" yelled Shelstad.

The jarring hit causes the spawn to lag in its reaction. Once cuffed McKay glares at Shelstad and hisses lowly from his throat. Realizing this yelling one would probably have nothing against hitting the host again it stops the hiss. Having the wind still knocked out of him was another reason to stop. McKay doesn’t fight back, being to weak too at the moment, and wanting to leave the room so the Symboiet could escape.
The Symboiet remains still, watching. It’s host had been a Sargent all along, that would have been handy to know.

McKay still doesn’t fight back, and instead glares around. The spawn could attempt to flee, but that would just cause further investigating and awareness around the ship.
The Symboiet waits until the room is silent before slowly turning and following the vent. It looks around for exits or areas where it can view what’s outside the shaft.

A small bared vent shows Lt. Shelstad bringing in McKay from the room.
Brakon stares intently at McKay, judging him.

The Symboiet watched the scene from the safety of the vent.
Noticing the judging stare, McKay looks over Brakon and returns a glare. After a few seconds of glaring he harshly but lowly hisses at him.

As the men turn to leave, a large bang is heard. Suddenly, the entire ship shakes and the men lift off the ground as the gravity just dissaperres. A red light comes on, and the men crash back to the ground. The Symboiet was unharmed because it had stuck to the inside of the vent. Brakon stubbles up.
"We are under attack! Inetiate protocol B-1A2. Erase all weapon and bio records. Save the black Biomass that infected McKay here." commanded Brakon.

The Symboiet remains attached to the vent’s siding, watching the peculiar scene unfold. These creatures seemed to have been affected strangely by the sudden lack of weight. They seemed more .... vulnerable. Hearing that the ship was under attack allowed it to quickly put two and two together. Something on the ship controlled this weightlessness. All it would have to do is find what that something is, halt it, and take control of the ship. Before launching its plan it decides to allow these creatures to get this ‘ship’ out of harms way first.
McKay had been affected by the failed gravity but was still under capture. The Spawn, confused as to what had just happened, checks over McKay’s memory to see if anything related to what had happened could be found.

Most crew stationed aboard a space fighter of any kind are trained to deal with the effects of weightlessness and what to do in those situations.
Brakon remembered his training and started off to the bridge. "I'm going to get us out of here, Shelstad, go down to engineering and make sure the engine is perfectly fine." Lt. Shelstad saluted Brakon and silently headed for an access tunnel further down the corridor. As Shelstad went by, his foot landed near the vent in which the Symboite was in.

The Symboiet jumps slightly when the foot comes down so close to it. Now was an opportune chance. An easy access to this ’engine’ they spoke of. However if it made one wrong movie it could be the end. It wanted to see what would become of its Spawn, but for the betterment of the plan it decides to continue on. Quickly it shoots out of the vent and attaches to the bottom of Shelstad’s left shoe. It fits in-between the slip resistant gaps to avoid being tread upon directly. It makes the tiniest squeak it can manage to tell the Spawn it was continuing on.
Hearing the squeak the Spawn causes McKay to cough, sending its own minuscule squeak to show it understood. McKay glances around, unsure of what would happen next. Then deciding it would be best to provide a small distraction, McKay calmly asks a question. “So, what now?”

One of the guards holding onto McKay told him what was to happen.
"You are going to come to the infermary with us. We'll ask a few questions, you'll tell us some answers."
Another thunderous bang shook the whole ship, though, the gravity stayed on.

As the ship shook McKay calmly nodded . "I see. I assume you mean if we don't all die first." He looked to the side, down the hall opposite the direction the Symboiet went, then quietly muttered something under his breath about 'weak-minded creatures' and 'easy to manipulate'.

The guard saw McKay muttering to himself. "Ok, lets get a move on." The guard poked McKay with a disabled tazer to get him moving.
Lt. Shelstad entered the engineering room. Equipment scattered all over the floor. Tiles from the ceiling fell down to the floor. A large column is in the center of the room, with 2 rings suspend around it, spinning. Shelstad approached the device. He pressed a button and a loud hissing sound and air escaped from his glove. He removed his glove and tapped a control panel.
