Maxine looked at the white board, trying to memorize the positions at the last minute. They were simple enough, and she appreciated her offensive position. It gave her a good chance to show off, among other, more important things. The twenty-something stood up, and stuck her hands in her pockets. She would have taken out the lighter and started playing with it had someone not grabbed her arm. Maxine started at the surprise touch, but calmed when she realized it was Noelia.
"Can I just call you Noel?" asked Maxine, "It's honestly easier to remember. And if I can call you Noel, you can call me Max." She noted the rather large gun at Noel's side, and looked back at Kumair. She was definitely armed comfortably. Max would take nothing but the lighter and a pack of matches. She was confident in her combat skills, both ranged and melee.

"Of course you can." Noel grinned, hearing fully what Katrina had said about not being too obvious... but then, she wouldn't be very close to the base, and if she were, well... she was prepared enough not to care. 'No hablo ingles, soy una camarada, no dispareme, por favor'* and throwing up her hands usually worked well enough for her to get away with carrying a large gun and coming out unharmed. "Noel sounds better. Max it is." though in her pockets was some spare ammunition, she was otherwise unarmed, as her specialty was close-range combat and she felt that anything else would be too much. --- "Oh, I have regular medical supplies on me as well, actually. You'd be surprised how well bandaging works for suffocation." he laughed, sticking his hands in his pockets. "And I have a few, small blades on me as well, but... if you'd feel more comfortable with me having a gun, I'll gladly take one. Though, in the off-chance I get caught, wouldn't it be easier faking innocence as a doctor?" he fixed the dark-rimmed glasses that framed his eyes, looking up at him then from his mildly downcast position. "No disrespect meant, sir, I haven't gone on all too many offensive-based missions before, so I wouldn't really know..." shrugging, he went ahead to hold the door for them and figured it was best trying to do little things like that as to not make enemies of them all. * = 'I don't speak English, I'm a comrade, please don't shoot me'

"You're right, though I don't know how well you'll be able to suffocate any of them in the first place. They have the advantage in physical ability compared to most of us," Kumair said, trying to keep the irritation out of his voice. He did a pretty good job, but Katia knew him well enough to detect it. Kumair was tapping his arm again, causing the bandage to fall apart.

Maxine nodded, and smiled. She could tell this would be a fun mission, at least with Noel by her side. Firearms and arms on fire--what could go wrong? She was halfway through the door when she heard what Kumair said about the hybrids having the physical advantage.
"They may have the physical advantage, but it's not like we can't blind, deafen, and burn them to a crisp," Max replied, her smile turning devious.

"I know that," Kumair said, the annoyance becoming more obvious. "I was telling Hayden why he would do better if he didn't try to strangle them with bandages." Had he not told Kat the same thing not an hour earlier? He tried to calm down. Perhaps it was Katia's proximity that had him on edge.

"Please don't fight. We're supposed to be getting along, and fighting over something as silly as weaponry isn't worth it." Hayden saw he would already have to establish himself as the group moderator, or at least from how things were going so far. "I see what you mean, sir, but on that same token, I have knives on me already, and I did offer to bring a gun as well... the suffocation was a joke. So please, there's no need for argument." running his hand through his hair, he realized how biased that sounded against Kumair... but then, he wasn't really one to get along with people who were very serious or quick to temper. Still, he'd give him a chance, especially with Katia practically on top of him... surely he minded, with the way he was tapping his arm, but he felt it best not to cross her at this point. --- "Oh, man, that sounds like fun..." Noel was off daydreaming, though eventually came back to earth relatively oblivious to the arguing. She, like Hayden, was not to be taken seriously by any means. "I mean, it's not like I have anything against dogs, but..." she thought about it, a smirk meeting her face. "Never mind, I sure do. You got knives and stuff on you, Max, or are you okay with your striking up your power on a whim and stuff? I mean, the air's pretty humid..." she wasn't really sure how many missions she'd been on, but supposing she hadn't been on many, she took on the job of protecting her for now.

Maxine glanced over at Hayden, noting how submissive he seemed to be. A shout of "man up!" seemed appropriate for the situation, but not for the people involved. She bit her tongue to avoid the outburst, and turned to Noel.
"I don't really have much on me," Max replied, stuffing her hands in her pockets, "but I don't think I'll need much. To be honest, I prefer burns over cuts." She tilted her head, and looked diretly at Noel. "Have you ever had a third degree burn? Hurts way more than any cut, trust me." Max rubbed her arm. She was still recovering from an accident involving gasoline and a dropped match. "Plus, the air down there's pretty dry, and all I need to start a fire is a flame and oxygen. Sometimes not even a flame." She shrugged.

Aspida and Spathi Insieme have always been together, even when they went in for gifted experiments they went together. Aspida was always the technical one, and after the experiments she went through she basically became as good as any computer. She has come to call her power archive, being able to create and manipulate screens which gave her access to virtually any information with a bit of time to search. She could also directly link archive to her brother, letting her upload and download data at will. Archive is good for more then simply information though it has certain advantages in combat, such as the fact that the holographic screens could be used as shields and take some damage. Spathi was the brother, and he's always been interested in military weapons and armor, though he was a bit of a pack rat. His power came to be known as re-quipping, in the blink of an eye he could change his clothing or weapons to anything he pleases within his arsenal, including many special ones with unearthly qualities that he discovered during a training exercise. The two were very faithful to their government however and actually volunteered to go into the potentially harmful experiments that made them who they are today. Aspida was usually seen in a long white coat, nearly touching the ground with a black bio-hazard sign on it. Today was no exception and along with it she wore slightly loose white pants and a white shirt to go with it. Her long black gloves and long black boots were made of a special kind of rubber. She pushed up her glasses a bit and brushed her long white hair to her back. This was a side effect of the process, they both had pure white hair and sharp purple eyes. Her brother wore a black vest over his white shirt, it was lined with pockets. His grey urban camo cargo pants adding to his vast majority of empty pockets. he had plain black boots and matching fingerless gloves. Just under his right eye he had a vertical scar, it never healed correctly and was very noticeable. The two stood side by side, waiting to be addressed, Aspida held onto both of their transfer papers for whoever was in charge, they weren't quite up to date and had didn't even know who they were going to be working under yet.

They left shortly, making their way through the jungle. ((How long will it take them to get to area 50??))

Karma nodded. "Maybe Willow by the door... and Danny if he can manage it, they'll both be harder to se than some others. Michelle could run messages between groups, she could be on lookout.. Chase could too, but Michelle's not much of a fighter and I think Chase'd be better on the battlefield..."

Lucien nodded in acknowledgement, and turned to the files on the meeting table. There was still nothing in them about any of the experiments at Area 52. The hybrid sighed, and looked back at Karma.
"Whoever you think would be suitable," Lucien said, "just remember that lives are in your hands, and these decisions aren't to be taken lightly..." He returned to looking through the files. "Anything further you wish of me?"

"Chase?" Astin asked, suddenly alert. "I know him~!" He scratched behind his ear, and licked at his tail.
