"Well, I wouldn't have let you leave the building with it even if you had requested it be written up." having taken note of the cut earlier, she walked over to the cabinet and opened the doors, getting on her tiptoes to reach the first aid box. "On that same note, I'll be shredding the paper in your hands and burning it before you go. Tomorrow, is it? Stay still..." spraying the cut briefly over, she held down a bandage wrap to his arm and went around a few times. "Have one of the gifteds look at that, if it starts hurting more. You should be more careful." though, Kat had only meant it casually, and seemed calmly content after.

Karma rolled her eyes. "You can't tell me he wouldn't have it coming," she muttered, before saying at normal volume. "That would work... send in people who can see in the dark near the doors... but we should have sort of checkpoints further in. It'd be reckless to expect to defeat everybdy near the entrance. Some will get through."

"Oh," Kumair said, glancing at his arm. "I hadn't noticed." He picked up a bit of paper on Area 50. After a moment, he spoke, "Though we may want to only take a few gifteds. And make sure they aren't claustrophobic."

Lucien looked at Astin, remembering the boy was still here. "Hurting people to get information," he quickly explained before turning back to Karma. "Of course, of course..." He made a few additional scribbles in French on the floor map. "A checkpoint here, and here... make sure no weak or young hybrids are anywhere near the entrance for the next few days." Lucien chewed on a claw in thought. "Would you reccomend anyone as mission alpha?"

Astin's expression became horrified. "Why would you want to hurt people?" he asked in a small voice. ((I said a while ago I wanted to add Willow to area 50, she's a wolverine and I'd also like to add Zava and Sabrina to the gifteds. Sabrina can replicate anything, and Zava's power it black fire))

"No particular preference, you've got the best eye for that kind of thing," Karma shrugged.

Lucien folded his arms. There was a reason he had asked Karma instead of appointing one himself. After a few moments of thought, he grabbed the file containing all the experiments in Area 50, and casually flipped through it. "Sometimes, Astin," he said, not looking up, "we have to harm others so they don't harm us more. Nobody likes doing it, but we have to... Karma, I'm trusting you to head this mission."
The African wild dog hybrid looked straight at Karma. "Don't let them get through," he said, flattening his ears to show he was serious.

"Thus there are only a few listed... just enough to cover the general area, and provide a tiny bit of backup. Though the inclusion of 6 may at first seem detrimental, they're an experienced healer, and will be necessary." Katrina smiled, not minding his advice at any rate. "Especially with people like you on the list. You'll bleed to death one day, in full health otherwise, and you can't say I haven't warned you." she chuckled, only joking... while death was to be taken seriously in the middle of warfare, Kat wasn't really the type to bother with it anyway.

Kumair smiled. "Hopefully not," he said. "I have quite a bit here to take care of before I bleed out. I'll go let the others know...." He walked out, going to each gifted, Hayden, Maxine, and two others(we don't know who yet, no one on the lists so far). Finally, he stopped by to inform Katia. It was as awkward as ever. He saw Sierra briefly, but she quickly ran off to do something else. Kimmy was nowhere to be seen. They were both eight, twins. The two little girls, Kimberly and Sierra, weren't well-known throughout the base, but those who did know them, knew that Katia was their mother. Katia had also said their father had been left behind in her hometown. That wasn't strictly true. Their father ccertainly behaved differently from the imature, but loving man he'd been. He'd grown up considerably, and become more and more distant every month that passed. Kumair was colder than he once had been, too. Katia told his daughters he was afraid someone would hurt them. It didn't even convince the mother. "You've been chosen for a special mission. Meet us at the conference room in ten minutes," he'd said to all of them. For katia, he added, " Don't be late." It was almost as if he didn't know her. She just nodded and watched as he left.

Maxine had been playing with a lighter when she was approached by the second in command. She quickly hid it in the sleeve of her shirt, not wanting to share the treasure. Luckily, she was just wanted for a special mission. Something to do! Finally! Minutes later, the burnette walked into the conference room, and plopped down in a chair, one leg crossed over the other.
"So exactly what's going on?" she asked of nobody in particular, flicking the lighter on and off.

Most of the others, including Kumair, had yet to appear, but Katia was there. Katia had been early, in fact. "I'm not sure. Kumair didn't say much, did he?" She didn't show her second in command much respect.

Max stopped playing with her lighter and looked up to see who replied. The flame quivered before she turned it off. "Just that there was a special mission," she said, "Something to do besides sit around, though, right?"

"Sure is. But 'special mission' is awful vague. We could end up dead," she said, pinching one of Maxine's nerves to trigger pain in the hand she'd been holding the lighter with.

"Dead?" echoed Max, "That's only a possibility--gah!" She dropped the lighter in surprise, and gripped her hand. "Must've been a mosquito, damn jungle..." She picked the lighter back up, and examined the spot where she felt the pain.

There would be no visible mark on the skin, and virtually no explanation for the pain. "Oh, did you get bit?" Katia asked. "That sucks."
