Astin curled up on the floor, holding the mouse in his hands and licking at it. He didn't really enjoy the fur, and he would have prefered it cooked. Those were some of the very few human bits that had remained in that little boy.
Kenny was silent for a long time as he stood, and walked around the room. He didn't speak a word, but Jamie heard him. Or, more accurately, Jamie remembered him speaking. "I wanted to make sure that the agents are ready. And that they understand what is to be done, as do you. You are to offer safety to the ones who give up. Tell them they don't have to die, but they will if they resist. No matter what, every experiment will be caged or dead by the end of the month, do you understand?" The words would have taken minutes, creating the false memory took seconds. Tartarus waited for his second to answer.
((Suki, of course Kumair has reason to be there, he's second in command.)) Kumair stepped closer to her. "Both could have advantages, as we don't know what the aberrations are planning, or even if they're planning anything. I think we should definitely attack them, before they have the opportunity, but I also believe it would be wise to have many defenses here."

"I understand completely, sir." he bowed to him, the beading on the front braid of his hair falling considerably. Jaime didn't really have problems with inhumane treatment, as by now he was used to it. "You're kind to give them shelter... but if they flood the prisons, or outnumber us, what then?" he stood up straight, a casual smile crossing his expression, shining with loyal praise. "Not to say you haven't considered everything. Our leader knows best. I will report to the others immediately, if that is what you wish." --- "Ha. And you're supposed to be my decision-boy." she smiled to show she meant no harm, hopping down from the edge of the table onto her bare feet. She bent down to a mess of papers on the floor and put her hair behind her ear to see more clearly, musing over them. "Well, knowing them, they'll probably be on the offensive. I mean, they don't have as much reason to hold back, being physically stronger in many cases." she batted her eyelashes at the papers filled with statistics, setting them back down and taking an apple from the bowl to cut into with her nail. "Not that that means much of anything... you've not heard word as to when they might attack, right?" she looked up at him, leaning back against the table. "Oh, and there's fruit if you want it. 'Ncase you're hungry or somethin', I dunno."

"I never said we'd keep them, any of them. I said to tell them that," Kenny replied. He knew of some of the gifteds who had been young, or frail. Some who were incapable of stopping anyone from doing anything to them. He made no exception.
"Deciding to do both is a decision," Kumair pointed out, a small smile forming. Kat's happy attitude was contagious. "I don't think they've decided themselves... But just because they're stronger, doesn't mean they have an advantage." He twitched a finger and the apple she'd taken split in half.

Lucien shook his head and sighed. "Again, this isn't a playground, nor is it a hunting ground." He smiled slightly. "And don't forget to share, kit."
The lack of a response from Karma was bothering Lucien. He considered shouting louder, but figured if she didn't respond the first time she wouldn't respond to the second time. Instead, he continued to browse the files and maps. One particularly thick file contained a detailed list of all the experiments and projects performed at the facility since the beginning. Lucien put it aside, and made a mental note to go through it at a later date.

Astin looked up. "Usually no one wants it. Do you?" he asked.

"... I see. That's fine, then." Jaime nodded, looking up at him again. "I'm sorry for having misunderstood." he assumed utmost integrity among them, but realized he'd be better off concluding things on his own when it regarded those lower than them. "Have you anything else to tell me?" though he hadn't moved at all towards the door, it was fairly obvious to Jaime that he'd rather be in position over the experiments at that time. --- "Oh~" she called, blinking twice at the split apple that now sat between her palms. Though she knew his power, she was always pleasantly surprised at the results of it. Chuckling, she broke it in half again and placed the quarters in her lap. "Thanks." smiling towards him, she bit into one of the apple pieces and resumed the conversation. "You're right in that. We can still be all the more cunning, strategic. Which is why I have us all to work." it was sort of a communist approach -- but then, she was part Russian and brought up in a similar mindset. "... doing both is all well and good, though we do need to get our timing right for that all to work out..." taking another piece of apple, she took a pen in her opposite hand and scrawled out in quick cursive various priorities and actions, color coding them in red and green and other intricacies. "I do not feel we should approach the people for a decision, nor let them be attacked unaware. Is it right then, to send out a select few to surround the base, posing as normal humans and collecting information? Or to proceed on the offensive?" she then realized she was likely being a burden on him with all her questions, especially being Project Zeus herself. She laughed softly, looking him in the eye to finally say, "That's alright. You don't have to be a sounding board. You can ignore all that to leave at any time, Kumair..."

"No, you may leave," Kenny said, turning to the window. He could just see the jungle where the lab was. Once, he'd been kept there as well. It seemed like decades ago.
"I'm not going to leave. Nor am I going to ignore your questions. You don't need to carry everything on your shoulders," Kumair responded. "I think the spies would be the best idea, though they should definitely be strong warriors, in case the half-breeds attack them anyway. It would be best to get information on our enemy versus going for an almost blind attack." His finger twitched again, slowly, and small marks appeared on his lower arm. He had many scars like that, from when he'd absentmindedly used his power on himself.

"Yes, sir. Thank you for having me." he then bowed at a very slight angle and hurried out. Jaime was always fairly quick, stepping with the front of his feet as it exerted less energy and made good practice in the event he'd have to run. Walking in the prison and looked the prisoners briefly over, he took the clipboard from the wall hang and proceeded to take attendance (and try to match their numbers to their faces) before going on with the orders Tartarus commanded. --- "I agree fully. You always pass my tests. Thank you, Kumair." she seemed fairly compassionate for what she'd been through, but Katrina appreciated the reassurance much. Scrawling onto paper in cursive penmanship, she told him roughly what she was writing down. "These are the names and room numbers of those people I have chosen. They are strong in power and mind, and are able to be trusted from what I've seen of their performance." even as many gifteds as there were, she strived to know them all on a personal level without getting attached. Ripping the paper off the notepad, she handed it to him. "Do you think so? If you agree, I will set them aside to announce their mission, or you can, if you know to keep it top secret." she smiled, putting her finger to her lips and looking up at him in a playful manner.

Kumair read through the list and nodded. "I couldn't agree more, though I would have to ask: what do you think of me going myself? It could have advantages having a leader there, but our true leader should stay with the main force."

Theo waits patently for Tartarus’s orders to be given. For now he sits on a bench checking over the umbrella he carries. After all if something were wrong with it his powers would be less efficient. His power being, focusing either electricity or sound into a shockwave of sorts. However, in order to use the power properly, he has to first focus it through something, otherwise it was too unpredictable to risk. This umbrella was specially made for this power, as it was found that anything he used his powers through didn’t last long, and more often then not, exploded. This umbrella was reinforced and made with altered material, the hollow staff and uncapped tip allows sound to pass through much like a bullet. The conductive material allows electricity the pass through the entire umbrella, and when suddenly opened, can send off a wide spread circular wave of electricity. Name: Theo Timeston Hair: Short, dark brown. Eyes: Green. Clothing: Navy blue business suit, white undershirt, red tie with emocons dotted on it. -emocon. = :3, . . Etc.- Wears oval framed sunglasses. Black fedora with red headband. Other: Carries a black umbrella with him at all times. Umbrella has a uncapped but sharp tip at it’s top.

"-And Danny, if you call me 'spotty' or 'speckle' ONE MORE TIME I swear will rip your other eye out!" Karma came in yelling over her shoulder, and slammed the door after finishing her threat. "Sorry Lucien," She said irritably as she came in. "Michelle was bombarding me with questions again and then Danny decided to butt in and be an asshole. Karma was not the second successful hybrid, or even the third, but had gained a reputation that had got her where she was nonetheless. But she was a fairly old hybrid, having been here 13 years after being seperated from her parents while on vacation in San Diego and scooped off the sidewalk when she was 4. The Cheetah DNA added to her body gave her the ability to run faster than any regular human and most hybrids she knew, only being slightly slower than an actual cheetah. it had also turnedd herfingernails into short, curved cat claws. The only other real change it made to her appearance was her hair. Once pitch black, her hair had lightened several shades in a brownish colour. Then, black dots appeared in her hair, , filled in with almost blond colour, looking more like lepord spots than cheetahs. Karma thought it looked ridiculous, but had never bothered to cut her hair, and it now reached to her knees. ((Danny/Daniel is coming eventually and Michelle is a possibility. Danny is missing an eye and is part black panther and Michelle is part eagle.))

Katrina was shocked immediately, and it showed only a little in the smile fading from her face. He's leaving? ... but I can't be worried. Nodding to him, she knew it was best to think logically and shouldn't be attached at all to the people she fought with. It would obviously be better that way. "Yes. It's a good plan. Now, supposing that I were to add you to the end of the list I gave you and numbered it..." she stepped off the table, touching his arm briefly and then walking up to the map. "You would want to keep this type of positioning." she then 'drew' on the map with both hands, quickly sketching up a layout of the gifteds by their number, and circles around a general area for each. "I'll stay back and track your positioning, and in the worst-case scenario... well, you know what to do." 'Clearing' the map, she put together another layout. "If for any reason you must go on the defensive, these are to be your positions..." refusing to show concern, she smiled casually and the board cleared again. "I trust you can tell them this... I can draw up a real map if need-be, but you know how I like avoiding written documents."

When she touched his arm, blood transferred in the striped pattern he'd made on his arm. He hardly noticed that he'd even cut himself. "Of course. And it would be bad to have a map, especially with the numbers. If the monsters somehow got a hold of it, they would have a map to all of us."

Lucien looked down at Astin, and thought for a few moments before shaking his head. No use spoiling dinner. His ears perked at the sound of Karma's voice, and turned around to watch her come in. Karma slammed the door, and Lucien winced. Somebody really needed to learn some patience...
"He already has no depth perception, we can't make him blind," Lucien said, folding his arms, "Unlike bats, panthers don't have echolocation." The leader turned back to the table, and pulled a large map out of the mess. It was a map of the entire area, showing Area 50 and Area 52, each with notes scribbled in French next to them.
"Here--" he pointed to Area 50 "--is us. And over here--" he pointed to Area 52 "--are the gifteds. In the midst of a jungle, no less. Undoubtedly, they know where we are, and are planning an attack as we speak. Our best bet is to stay on the defense." Lucien pulled another map out of the papers, this one a floor map of the facility. Each room was labled with a name such as Foyer, War Room, and Clinic.
"Now, the only entry way into our base is through a hidden entrance at the surface. It's a dark tunnel straight to the main foyer, with no lighting. They probably know this due to damned scientists and their extensive records. Unless they can see in the dark, we can ambush them from one of the crevices and side tunnels."
He looked up at Karma to make sure she was understanding this. "How does that sound? We can beat them in close quarters combat, capture their alpha, and... interrogate them." Lucien's ears twitched in delight.

Astin listened to all this keenly. "What does interrogate mean?" he asked when Lucien was finished. He was sure there had been other words he didn't know (namely undoubtedly, damned, extensive, and ambush) but he couldn't quite recall what they were.
