GONE

[Sar]

Matt looked up at him and said "What do you want Andrew?" She still sat in her chair but her finger was on the trigger. She didn't want to be the first killer but she would if it meant protecting the city.

"Nothing!" Andrew insisted. "Better question, why are you sitting outside the grocery store carrying a gun, Matt?"

[Sar]

"Protecting it Andrew," Matt said looking him in the eye.Her gaze softened and she said "DO you have any idea of what's going on right now?"

[Gifted]

Andrew shook his head. "My mom and older sister Taelia dissappeared. Mom was taking care of me because I have a cold and she's a fussbudget, and Taelia came home early from a feild trip, but I couldn't find either of them,"

[Sar]

"Your sister?" Matt said "Well that is a shock to me, but for what I know is that all adults have poofed. Their are none in the grocery store, or the hardware store, the day care, their all gone," Any time now kids are going to start coming into town and stealing what ever they can get their hands on.." She started to trail off in thought. "Andrew," Matt said "I'll make you a deal," she paused "I'll share my supplies with you but you gotta take a kart and start emptying out the hardware store, got it? In the next twenty four hours things are going to get crazy until someone takes power. If you can define your role now you should stay alive, got it?"

"The hardware store? But..." This didn't sit right with Andrew. Why was she hoarding everything to herslef? And besides, a scrawny kid like him lifting the tools and stuff in the harwware store? He doubted he could lift any of that stuff, and definatley not the heavier things. And anyways, why were they stopping kids from getting stuff? "..where would I put the stuff?" He said reluctantly. "And it doesn't seem very fair that you're forcing your way of control on them..." He wasn't challenging he was just honestly curious, and didn't have the common sense to know if he disagreed he should probably keep his mouth shut.

[Sar]

Matt rolled her eyes in irritation. "Look at the bigger picture Andrew," Matt said "I'm not hoarding. I have my own supplies that I bought and paid for before the adults left. All the stuff in there is what we're saving until someone takes control. We're doing this for the greater good. Cause if we're here for months and use all of our supplies tonight we're all gonna die of malnutrition. Now please, for the love of God, starting getting stuff from the hardware store. I'd do it myself but I know you don't have the heart to shoot someone, so please, go,"

Andrew bit his lip, but nodded. He guessed mthat sort of made sense. "I'm not very strong," he said, worried that might be a problem. "And where do I take the stuff? Here?"

[Sar]

"Just roll it in and grab a new kart when you head back." Matt said "We have no time for loading and unloading. Now go, just get important things, okay?"

[Gifted]

Andrew nodded and ran down to the square. There were a few kids trickling in, but not too many to watch him yet. HE began quickly putting all of the easier-to-lift items in the hardware store onto a cart.

[Sar]

Matt sat in her chair eying every kid that came close to the store. She stroked her pistol as a warning, keeping them all away.

Ashley let out a breath as the final little kid laid down for a nap. She let out a sigh of relief and tucked the strands of hair that had come loose from her ponytail behind her ear. She had seen her sister and let out a sigh. Always one to get involved. Though she had no room to talk for she was now taking care of the little kids, but that wouldn't last forever..would it?

Once he had everything he could load onto the cart without making it impossible to pull he dashed back to Ralphs. Pleased nobody was there, he pushed the cart right up to Matt.

[Sar]

Matt opened to door and said "Get another Andrew," she let out a breath "We have a lot of work to do,"

Skyler had broken into the office with the help of a few other 'special' students in his class. He made his way to the intercom and made a school wide announcement "My fellow students," Skyler said putting the on the same field 'We have all become aware of the disappearance or so called poof of all adults. I would like to inform you all that this is school wide and probably city as well. It has also seemed that all fifteen year olds and above have also poofed. With this in mind I would like to tell you all that we are now here alone in a world with no authority. Before anyone thinks of going crazy let's also remember this. We are smarter and more powerful then those down in Perido beach. For those of you here your entire life you have been looked down upon for what society calls disabilities. I have a plan that will not only put us in power but show the rest of the remaining residence in Perido Beach that we do not have the disability but the advantage. For those of you who wish to form a team with me and bring our own order meet with me in the auditorium in ten minutes. Thank you." He then ended the message and disconnected the microphone so no one else could here him talking. "There," Skyler said "It starts,"

Andrew nodded and ran down to the hardware store so he could get another load. He had a much harder time with the next one, but eventually got them on the cart.

As soon as she heard the voice Sheilah turned away from Tristan, looking at the intercom while Skyler made his announcement. Then she smirked. "Skyler, you my friend, are a genious," She said quietly to herself, and fled for the auditorium, wanting to get there before everyone else.

Matt continued to sit in her chair stroking her pistol. If she had anything to do about it she would keep Andrew around to help with her new position.

Minutes after the announcement Skyler entered the auditorium from the office entrance. He stepped onto the wings stage and looked as the seats began to fill. 'Perfect,' he thought 'Only those in his class knew where he was standing he wanted to get a grasp on the audience before he spoke.
