The White Zone

[Raven]

Dylan pushed himself up and laughed. "You think you've seen my 'type' before?" he asked.
Alexis plucked a few more orbs from the air. "Most people don't like him.." Then she frowned. "Kyler's said that exactly before," she muttered softly.

[Sparrow]

“Yes, I’ve seen your type before. Arrogant, spiteful, ignorant, prissy, unpunctual, rude, shall I go on?”

The eel shrikes as something swipes its platform from underneath. This something is a giant tree trunk sized tentacle with spiked sucker cups. It is dark purple with orange pin-stripes. The eel is sent flying into the air, and is quickly snatched up by a second tentacle before being pulled into the water at lightning speed.

“... Strange, that was not meant to get out until round five..... Oh well.” Host says in a so-so tone.

Whatever is under the water lets off a low bass cry before shooting a tentacle up towards Dylan. Seconds later a second tentacle comes for Alexis.

[Raven]

Dylan's attention had been grabbed by the eel. He ducked, rolled and shot into the air. "What the hell does prissy mean?" he asked. "And I'm not arrogant. I know life ain't fair, and you don't get what you want."
Alexis screams and leaps off her platform to the one above it.

[Sparrow]

“Blah blah blah.... Sing your heart’s song to someone who cares.” Host says in an uninterested tone.

The tentacle that went for Dylan retreats back into the water. The one that reached for Alexis wraps around the platform she left, after some sharp creaking is heard the platform snaps and is dragged underwater.

Fourteen blue orbs fall, no black orbs follow.

[Raven]

Dylan flies fast through them several times, and manages to catch five of the orbs. Alexis catches another four.

[Gifted]

Cristel had been trying, but she grew sufficently more distracted. Though she kept her face outwardly passivve, inside turmoil was raging.

Yazermen was less careful. He constantly stopped, shook his head, growled under his breath. Finally, the mental distractiion became too much and cristel landed on a platform badly, she slipped off, and in the second of freefall she surrendered.
Ruby, with much better reflexes than Cristel could ever hope to have, caught the edge of th platform as she fell away.

Yazermen bounded over, standing in the very center of the platform closest to Ruby. Unlike Cristel he was still fighting, but her loss sent waves of pain through his skull as if he were being shredded apart. Suddenly, Colsheen spoke to him.
Why are you still fighting Yazermen? Ruby's already overpowered Cristel.
Yazermen shook his head, fighting through the pain. He didn't care.
You think by fighting you will pull her back? No offense Yaz, but hardly. You're likely to snap the connection between the two of you and kill yourselves. Although that would be doing our jjob for us so I don't see why I'm complaining.
Yaz didn't believe her. It was possible, of course, but she made it sound inevitable. That wasn't true. And at least he would die trying.
Look, I've got the better reflexes. If you don't let me take over Ruby'll fall off that ledge and all four of us will die. You're in too much shock from the pull of the connection to be able to help her.
There was, however, some truth in those words. With a sigh, Yazermen surrendered, and let Colsheen save their lives.

[Sparrow]

Host sensed the change as it happened.
“How intriguing.” he says coyly after a moment.
The tentacle retreats into the water as several more blue orbs rained down.
“and who are these two new players that have taken the place of player one and her counterpart?”

[Gifted]

"Well that's annoying" Ruby muttered.
Colsheen sighed. "What the heck has Cristel gotten us into now..."
Ruby looked around for where the host was, annoyed. "A tormenter who hides their face? How Cowardly. Hiding behind your stupid little game," She sighed.
"We don't need to tell you anything," Colsheen agreed.
Ruby observed the others catching orbs for a moment, then went over and lightly caught six without a change in expression.

[Sparrow]

“Well well, aren’t you two snippy. Not to mention late.” Host says in a mocking tone.
It sighs then shrewdly adds,
“Oh well, perhaps that will make things more interesting.”
The tentacle shoots up at Ruby in attempt to grab her.

[Gifted]

Ruby saw the tentacle and smirked at it, with out moving a muscle.
Colsheen came out of nowhere, a crocodile lunging at it's prey. With one quick snap she broke the tentacle in half between her jaws.
Ruby completley ignored her partner, catching five more orbs.

[Sparrow]

A high pitched screech comes from the water as the remaining tentacle retreats. The water shakes and waves form as something starts to come up into view.
“Oh, you shouldn’t have done that...” Host says with an amused laugh.
A tepee of pearl colored spikes pops out of the water that length 6-7 feet. After a second the rest of the creature’s head pops up, breaking several of the platforms. It appears to have twelve jet-black eyes and rust colored skin. The tepee of its fangs swings open ,stopping short the rim of the walls, and screeches a high pitched wail.
“Wow... You really got it mad.” Host says then laughs.

[Gifted]

Ruby looked at it, and rolled her eyes. "Bo-ring. Colsheen? go."
Colsheen turned into a hawk, with beady eyes and long, sharp talons. She took off, flying this way and that in front of the thing.

[Sparrow]

The creature makes a hacking sound before spraying a sticky ink-black slime at Colsheen. Some of the slime sprays towards the top of the pillar.

[Gifted]

Colsheen dodges easily, suddenly lunging at one of the creatures twelve eyes, talons tensed to scratch.

[Sparrow]

Having its eye cut causes the creature to cry out in pain. It pulls back then snaps at Colsheen.
