Yami sat at her normal table in the Library, piles upon piles of book surrounding her at all times. "Never a time for rest," he said quietly to herself. The more she thought about it the sicker this place seemed. Taking smart children with their own personalities and pruning them into some sort of sick experiment. How many students had been lost to this system. She knew of two, one killing themselves and the other being pushed into the deep end without any help. Two fourths percent of that outcome and one fourth of her actually surviving as herself. The last forth the program succeeding, turning her into another hopeful copy for the the original.

Kat sighed as she paused outside the doors. She'd practically run through the halls as she made her way there. After a moment to regain her breath, she walked calmly in. Not really looking for anything in particular, she began browsing the shelves. She noticed piles upon piles of books stacked on one of the tables and went over to see who, if anyone, was behind them. When she saw her she frowned slightly. She'd never really paid Yami much attention before, but she realized that she knew the girl from somewhere, and not just as Blue and Seven's roommate. "Hello," Kat greeted her.

"Oh," Yami looked over and smiled "Hello," she put down the news paper article and said "You find any good books in here?" During the time Yami spent at this school she had acted shy and quiet, and now that was paying off, for as it seemed to others that she was just breaking out of her shell, she was actually acting as a whole other personality.

"Not really, but you look familiar. More than just as Blue's roommate, I mean," Kat replied, wondering what Yami would say.

Yami smiled and said "Yeah, I get that alot. Usually it's people saying all Asians look the same. Butyou look a tad familiar yourself. I think it was a girl from a movie." She smiled again an put her right palm on the back of her neck and She gave a real laugh.

Kat frowned. "I don't think so... I think I saw you about a month and a half ago. Some girl's dad was attacking her," she pressed. Yami could be just what she needed. She must have lived near Sai and probably knew him.

" I'm sorry but I think you must haver confused for another." Yami apologized "This is actually my first time back in England sense I was twelve. I really am sorry." Yami continued to stay calm trying no t lose it.

Kat shrugged. "I suppose. I didn't get a good look at anyone there, anyway. It was a bit of a rush, ya know?"

"Not quite sure if I know what you mean." Yami said "I have never really gotten into fights, but I do get faces confused at times" She turned back to the news paper and said "Gomen, wish I could be more help to you."

Kat tilted her head, but decided not to ask Yami what she meant. Instead she found an isolated corner and started to read.
Jumping awake, Kat realized she'd fallen asleep in the library. She yawned, then started up to her room, noticing that the sun was setting outside the window.

"Oh, it's like the Japanese equivelent of an apology." Yami smiled and looked up "My mother was Japanese. She taught me the language when I was much younger." She put the palm of her hand on the back of her neck "Sometimes when I don't pay to much attention it slips into my English."

Rhyme was sitting at one of the few computers in the empty library. The tap-tap-tap of keys echoed throughout, making him feel lonely. The last time he had done something like this, he hadn't slept adequately for a week. Not to mention the near-breakdown when he came back to the orphanage...
Sighing, Rhyme pushed this memory to the back of his mind, and returned to his research. Papers were scattered on the table the computer was on, notes such as "How much of the face??" and "How to get?!" scrawled on them. A few books laid open on top of various pieces of paper. The redhead picked up a pencil, and scribbled something on a blank piece of paper before flipping through a book and peering at it.

Kat pulled the door open quietly and almost immediately regretted it. She didn't want Rhyme around, not when she was trying to get to Sai. Besides, though he'd told her he was out of the investigation, he still wouldn't like the idea of her doing what she was thinking of.

Rhyme leaned closer to the screen, trying to make sense of the tiny font. Grumbling, he tapped a few random buttons on the keyboard, hoping to increase the font size. Instead, he nearly closed the window. With a groan, Rhyme stood up, and stretched.
"Kat?" he said, blinking, "Hey, it is Kat... Morning!"
