Rhyme nearly walked into Yami when she stopped. He looked back at her, and nodded. "Absolutely," he replied with uncharacteristic certainty, "I'm determined to make a difference in the world, one way or another... This case can help me do that." Rhyme sighed, and glanced away. After a few moments, he looked back, wearing his nigh-perennial smirk. "Ready to go solve a murder mystery?"

Yami looked back with a smirk "But of course I am," she said "We are the top Wammy's, what else do we do?"

Rhyme laughed. Yami had a point; when you were brought up to become the world's best detective, what else were you to do? "Let's go home, then..." He started off down the street, and turned back to make sure Yami was coming. "Well, it's not home, but it's the closest we've got to one. C'mon."

"You're right," Yami said "it's all we have left in this world," she made her way outside caustiously and then said "I read something awhile back, from an old journal." she then quoted "They ripped away our names and faces, the o ly things we had left, now we have nothing but an ilusion of succesion," she then started walking on the road.

As Teale walked down the road she noticed an old abandoned church. "Huh, I havent gone this way in so long I forgot that was there," she went up to the window that wasn't boarded up and smashed it with her fist. she picked up one of the sharper shards of glass and proceeded to walk behind the church where she wouldn't be seen. She then spent ten minutes cutting herself, her face, some deep ones in her arm, and several on the tops of her fingers placed strategically to look like self-defense wounds. as she got up to leave, she tossed the shard and, as she was making sure it didn't land somewhere too obvious, walked into the little podium at the front where a pastor would stand and talk. It was raised, so she hit her eye on the corner. "Dammit!" she stepped back and clutched her eye. This annoyed her for a second, before she realised this would only help her charade. GRinning, she ran off to meet Sai.
