"By the way, I was looking for some information on the computer and I found an article. It said that a criminal hung himself last night in the middle of the town he was being kept in," Kat continued conversationally.

"really?" Teale said. "Which one?" She knew if Seven knew which he'd be able to tell if it was posible the man hung himself of his own accord. "I heard about that," Seven commented. "It was on the internet. it's strange, he was a very successful criminal. He'd have no reason for suicide,"

Rhyme followed Kat out, curious as to where she was going, and ran into the door with a thud when she closed it. He rubbed his face with one hand, and opened the door with his other. In front of him were Kat, Kat's girlfriend, and some people he didn't recognize. He jumped into the conversation in true Rhyme style.
"Unless, of course, his reason was for Kira to test out the note book," Rhyme said, wedging himself into the group, "Or he had a serious mental illness. There's plenty of options, really."

Silk was frowning again. "Hi," she said, a little overwhelmed. Velvet was silent, thinking. "Was he in prison or not?" she asked. If he was, it could possibly narrow down the reason why he might have committed suicide while he wasn't under the influence of the Death Note. He could have been caught and in the disappointment, he became suicidal. Maybe it was Kira after all. She decided to share her thoughts. "If he wasn't under the influence of Kira, there are several possibilities as to why he would kill himself."

"If Kira killed him with the notebook, he wouldn't technically have killed himself, though it would look that way," Kat interjected.

Seven shook his head. "This man had his whole town under control. wire taps on the phones, hidden bombs all over town. He couldn't be reported, he had the whole town hostage, then he just kills himself," Seven shook his head. "This criminal didn't work like that. He had no reason too," "Sorry random person who barged into our conversation, Sevens got you trumped there. he's a humsn mind expert," Teale said. ((do you get the feeling Teale and ryme arent going to get along? XD))

((no one get along well with Rhyme... yet...)) "Blue, this is my room mate, Rhyme," Kat introduced. "He's convinced that I'm Kira, so he's following me around to see what I do and where I go."

"I never knew we had stalkers at Whammy house," Teale said, barely keeping a straight face. Seven chuckled from his computer.

"Neither did I until it was too late," she smiled up at Rhyme, looking into his eyes.

(( Nobody likes Rhyme. xD ))
Rhyme looked at this Seven person, determined to prove his point. "Actually, plenty of criminals would rather be caught dead than alive. Take double agents, for example. They kill themselves before they're caught so that nobody knows what information they have." He paused for a moment, trying to remember something. "There was a shooting in a high school in the states in '99 where the two shooters killed themselves. They knew the SWAT was out there looking for them, so they'd rather go dead than alive."
He sighed when they proposed he was a stalker. "I'm not stalking her," he responded, frowning, "And I'm not convinced you're Kira. There's a small chance you are, just like there is for everyone else." Rhyme motioned with his hand to indicate the group, and shrugged.

"Thats a good point, but he left a diary behind with detailed plans on what he was doing," "Hey! they don't release that sort of thing to the general public! Did you hack into police files again?" Blue asked Seven grinned. "Perhaps. Anyway once he'd cleaned the town of valubles he was putting up a randsom note for his hostages for three billion dollars. He had everything planned, so why would he kill himself right in the middle?" Seven sighed. "This criminals thoughts were all baised around monetary gain. The poilce didn't know where he was, he was going to make 3 billion dolars, he was satisfied,"

Rhyme shrugged in response to Seven's question. "Criminals don't make much sense," he said, "You ever heard of this legal term called insanity? Some people have no rhyme or reason as to their criminal acts." He paused, considering if saying 'rhyme or reason' counted as a pun. "Though he was in it for monetary gain, he could've killed himself because he realized what he was doing, and he didn't want to face his family, or something like that."
Again, he paused, this time to think. "The first Kira wasn't exactly the most sensible criminal either. Thinking he could rid the world of all evil by eliminating criminals... Evil's like a cockroach; it can survive a nuclear blast."

"I know you're not a stalker. I was joking. But if you're not convinced that my percentage is at least higher then theirs, why did you follow me? Regardless, I am going to prove I'm not Kira, even if you suspect me until we catch the real Kira," she said confidently.

"Insanity isn't a valid excuse for something as random as this," Seven's voice was starting to grow hoarse. After not using it for more than a few words at a time for four years, It would fade if he talked to long, like losing your voice after yelling. "The actions always make sense in the head of the perpetrator. And there are experts on insanity, people who figure out the thought process on those beyond comprehension. I've already explored this theory, checking websites, even looking over a transcript the police had copied out. aparently they conslted one, must be just as on edge about Kiraas we are. More, probably. And not one of these experts can figure it out. Theres still a probability of course, anythings possible. But still..,"
Blue bit her lip. "That depends on your definition of evil," she couldn't help replying. Yet another person who believed that bull crap.

"Of course it does, Blue. We are raised to believe in good and evil, but in reality, it's just people who think differently. There is no real evil, because everyone is raised to believe differently. We learn that Kira is evil, but if we were raised by Kira, of course we wouldn't think that. We would be told that Kira is justice, and God, so that is what we would believe," Kat said. "The real reason I came out was because I've got a friend I'm meeting. I really need to hurry. I'm sorry, Rhyme." She stretched up on her toes and kissed his cheek, then hurried down the hall. She'd decided only half an hour earlier that she had to go see Sai.
