Rhyme shrugged, and watched as Kat with a kay ran off. Sure, barely five minutes had passed and Kat was already a Kira suspect, but that was how it went for him normally. Although not naturally suspicious, Rhyme knew to consider every possibility, even the silly or improbable ones.

He stepped off the bed, and pulled open the window's blinds. The room had an okay view of the courtyard, directly facing the back of the sign that said Wammy's House. He could see Kat outside talking to someone or other, with something resembling a shriveled apple core nearby. Curious, Rhyme opened the window, and attempted to listen to their conversation.

ooc: I'm just saying I love how it hasn't even been confirmed that theres a Kira and everyone already has suspects. XD

"Oh no, reason. I was just curious. You know, always looking for something new to read," Velvet replied, a smile playing at her face. She glared at the apple core. She had made the connection, but hid it. There was no need to burden Kat with her concerns.
Velvet snapped her eyes away from the red object and the began drifted, looking at the magnificent building that sat before her. She spotted a boy, maybe a little older than herself by the window of what she suspected to be his room. With a grin, she waved to him.

[Raven]

Kat turned, then glared at Rhyme. /What's he doing?/ she thought. "Hey, Rhyme!" She waved then turned back to Velvet. "That's my room mate. He just moved in today," she told the girl.

"What are you up to, Rhyme?" she asked as if talking to an old friend and smiling.

[FoxTrott]

"Heeeyyy, Kat with a kay," Rhyme responded, "Good to see you so happy." He leaned out the window, trying to get a better look at the core. "Is it because you just had lunch?" He pointed at the apple core. "Or because you just found your girlfriend?"

She looked at her feet, and blushed slightly, acting embarrassed. "Oh, yeah... Sorry about earlier. I just wasn't very happy that I had a room mate, but I'm okay now," she said.

Rhyme raised an eyebrow when Kat blushed. He certainly wasn't expecting her to be so... well, girly, judging by their first meeting.

"Don't sweat it, Kat," he said, giving a slight shrug, "Girls have their mood swings, I know." Although he was looking at Kat and her friend, he was focusing on the apple core. What was it doing out in the middle of the yard like that?

[Raven]

"That doesn't excuse anything." She turned to Velvet. "I've got to go. See you later!" Kat hurried to the front doors, then to her room. She knocked softly, conscious of her room mate, and the fact that he was of the opposite gender.

[FoxTrott]

Rhyme turned around, and opened the door.

"Thanks for gaining some manners and knocking," he said with a smirk, "Why'd you come up here, though? Need to talk to me in private?" He leaned closer. "Or do you just like being near me?"

[Raven]

"Yeah, I'm so sorry about this morning!" She blushed again. "Can't I come up to the room that I live in too without any particular reason?"

[Rachel]

"Uhh... bye then," Velvet said, her eyebrows raised. Why was everyone always running off? She lay back in the grass, contemplating Kat and Blue's disappearance. And was Rhyme spying? She blinked. Maybe they didn't enjoy her company, didn't trust them enough? She sat up, a plan forming in her mind. They were probably back in their rooms, but she didn't care. If she couldn't get them now, then she was do it tomorrow. Sometime.
She stood up and ran a hand through her hair, brushing out anything that had gotten stuck in it. She pursed her lips as she began the trip back to her room.

Still thinking hard, Teale barley noticed Velvet coming down the hall as she sat there.

[Rachel]

Velvet didn't notice Blue sitting. She walked straight past, on her way to her room. Not bothering to knock, she slipped into her room, spotting her roommate writing something at her desk. "Hey," Velvet greeted her vaguely, not really in it. She jumped.
"Oh, hi! I didn't see you come in. Are you still trying to scare me?" the girl said, spinning around in her chair. She was grinning, not being serious. Velvet looked at her slyly.
"Why would I do that, Silky?" she asked but Silk laughed. She turned back to what she whatever she was doing, leaving Velvet to her thoughts. She sat herself gingerly onto her bed.
'I wonder why she ran off in the first place...' she thought, thinking about Blue. 'Maybe she was avoiding that Kat person. Or maybe she made a connection about the apple. She would be good to compare notes with...'

Not until velvet had already passed her did Teale realise she'd been there. She got up once Velvet had dissappeared and followed her, staying out of sight until they got to Velvets room. After quickly noting the door number, she smiled and took out her hairband and placed it on the ground. Now if anyone asked she could say she was picking upp her hairband, not eavesdropping. Smiling, she crouched down to listen.

[Rachel]

"I dunno, Velvet. I always knew that you didn't like me, so maybe..." Silk said after a moment. Velvet blinked again.
"Nope, never liked you, never will!" she replied, smiling. Silk sniffled.
"That is so mean!" she said before she laughed. "I never ever liked you either!"
Velvet shook her head as Silk returned to her writing.
"You want to go for a walk?" she asked the redhead, who glanced up.
"Sure," she replied, standing up. Velvet did the same and opened the door. She stared at Teale in the doorway.
