If it had been anyone else Katia probably would have found it odd that he didn't look surprised, but he was Sai and she didn't. "They are real. The first Kira Case confirmed them. We also know all the rules in the notebook. One of them is: the person who uses this notebook can neither go to heaven nor hell. I believe that means that anyone who uses the notebook becomes a shinigami. So, the first Kira would have become a shinigami himself. I don't believe that Kira would be content to stay in the shinigami realm for eternity. He'd probably return with a notebook to find someone to continue his work. That is why there is another Kira," she told him. "Or, that's what I think, at least."

"So you think the previous Kira is th shinigami that brought the notebook back now?" his face a bit more concerned now. After about a minute he looked to her and said," So would that mean that the new Kira will be even smarter than the last one now that he see's the mistakes the old one made?"

"Possibly, but maybe not. The previous Kira, I'm going to call him S-Kira or shinigami Kira, will want to make sure that his chosen one will share his ideals and listen to him. He might help the new Kira, but he might have his own ideas." Katia looked out the window, then back at him.

Sai nodded and stared out the window, he was going to avoid making the same mistakes even if it meant bending Kira's ideal a little bit.

QUickly thinking of an excuse he turned to her and said," I just hope that Kira doesn't target any of my friends...like you, you are a wammy right?" After about a minute he continued," just be careful out there..."

Sai looked at her and then spoke again," But from the last Kira case couldn't the second Kira tell just from seeing your face?" Sai looked concerned now.

"Only if he, or she, traded for the eyes. And besides, there are plenty of Wammy kids, there's no reason for me to be singled out. Even if Kira does randomly choose Wammy kids to kill, I'm not likely to be one of them. If I am killed, though, it means Kira definitely has the eyes. Besides, if Kira is picking and choosing kids, he won't be dumb enough to kill me and blow the fact that he has made the deal. He'd choose children who's names were easier to find," she told him.

Sai smiled and then spoke again," I know you must think I worry too much." He walked back into the kitchen and began on the dishes created from earlier. Soon after he finished he turned back to her and the continued," So what do you plan on doing now?"

"I probably should get going before my new roomie starts to worry," Katia said sarcastically. "Actually he probably thinks I'm talking to my Kira-helping minion." She grimaced.

Katia put her shoes back on, and turned back to him. Her sneakers didn't make her much taller, so she stood on her tip-toes and lightly kissed him on the lips, then blushed and ducked out the door. She didn't pause to catch her breath until she saw the orphanage.

Sai stood there for a minute staring out the door to his apartment. After a minute he blinked a few times and thought to himself...'did that just happen?' He closed the door and relaxed on his bed thinking about several things at once.
