Sai looked at her and the nreplied," Unlike some people I'm not nosey... I don't need to know anything." He looked at the calander and wondered how long it would take for the shinigami t oappear, and just how a shinigami would act anyway.

" I was just teasing...didn't wammy teach you guys humor?" Sai replied. He was smiling now and went back into the kitchen for a minute. A few pots were clattering around and the nhe shouted out to her," Are you planning on staying for dinner?"

"We have a sense of humor, it's just not a normal one," she replied, taking one more sip of tea, then standing up to follow him. "I'd love to stay, if you don't mind." She looked up at him.

Sai started on the dinner and said," You're welcome to sta yas long as you like, and if you need a place to sleep I have plenty of room." After dicing up al lthe ingredients He dumped them into the boiling water adn set the timer before turning back to her.

Katia stood up and looked around him at the pot. "What are we having?" she asked him, turning back to look up at him. She was closer to him than she thought she was. There were inches of space between them.

"I was just wondering, I'm not picky. That's one of my good features," she joked. "I'm not sure I'm very balanced. I think I might have more bad features. I'm stubborn, so I'm persistent. I'm good at making people uncomfortable, and at knowing things. I'm not very trusting, which can make me untrustworthy... But I trust you with my life. Why is that, I wonder?" she was only half talking to him.

After a few minutes of cooking he poured the broth into two bowls and then the noodles. He gave her a bowl and took his back into the dining room.

"Maybe.... I just wonder why a new Kira is showing up now..." He stared into his empty bowl and began thinking about ways to change the topic. Soon he sared out the window and there was a glossy look to his eyes.

"Shinigami? Like gods of death? I don't believe in them, but Kira kills with a notebook... so I guess anything is possible..." He showed no emotions or signs to display he was lying and she was a Wammy... maybe she might catch on. Sai decided he would have to be careful.
