Sai was shocked at first when Hikari placed the rosary around his neck but his attention returned to the black notebook. He picked it up and said," I think I'm going to wait a while, I want to see about this so called shinigami." He made the bed that he slept in and went to put it back under Hikari's bed.

"Of course," Hikari said as she looked at the death note. The rules said the shinigami had thirty nine days to appear "San-juu-kyuu,"[i/]she said aloud to herself. "So, we are going to wait a month?" she asked, not sure about Sai's plans.

Sai thought for a minute and then spoke," I'm not using it anymore, not until I get some answers." He stood up and looked at her before speaking again," So yes even if it takes a month I'll wait." He stood up and looked at the Deathnote. He picked it up and spoke to Hikari again," Thanks for letting me stay the night, but I think I'll go home now." He smiled and waved at her as he we ntout the door.

Katia hurried down the street. She couldn't wait to get to Sai's house, and hoped he'd be there. Then she spotted him just outside the door to one of the buildings. "Sai!" she called, waving.

Sai turned to Katia smiled and waved to her and exclaimed," Hey Katia Nice to see you! How long has it been?" He was still smiling as he approached her, the book hidden deeply in his pockets.

Following Cat to the street, she saw the friend waiting. She realized she probably shouldn't be seen, and reflexively climbed inside a tree. It looked solid and impossible to climb, but it was really a cocoon with branches that were easy to climb and it was so simple to see out of no matter how high you went.
She was halfway up when she stopped.
How had she known about this tree? She hadn't thought about it, it had been instinct. So how had she known it was climbable?
Hesitantly, she peered to the side to the house it was next too.
She choked back a scream and broke into a cold sweat. Her old house. The beautiful white one she'd played in as a child. This tree had been her favorite place for Hide and seek, since nobody ever found out it was climbable. It was also her little hide out whenever she wanted to play by herself.
But now she had no mother, and her father owned the house. And if he ever saw her again....
She started hyperventilating

"Much too long," she replied. "What's been going on with you?" Katia couldn't stop smiling after not seeing her friend for so long. She rolled a few strands of her hair between her fingers, totally unaware of the fact that she'd been followed.

Sai shrugged and soon replied," Not much, as you know I've been living alone for awhile, but Ijust back from a friend's house." He smiled and then asked her," How about you? Anything interesting?"

"Us Wammy kids think there might be a new Kira. And I have a room mate. You know how well I get along with most people. He's called Rhyme, and he already thinks I'm up to something," she replied. "I have decided to try to convince him I'm not anywhere near as intelligent as the others, though. I don't know why, but I just have a bad feeling about him..."

Sai replied fairly quickly," Hmm a room mate? I'm sure that won't go over very well.. Any leads on the new Kira yet?" sa iwas playing a dangerous game at this point, one of his best friends was a Wammy and he was the next Kira though he refused to write Katia's name in the book especially since he was still a bit foggy.

Trying to look past her fear of the house and focus on the task at hand, she bit her lip. What did Cat think she was doing? Telling an outsider what they were talking about? Teale attempted to stop herself from shaking as she held herself up by a branch. She didn't want to fall, she'd probably smack her head on a tree branch and black out. Again.

Katia trusted Sai with her life, there was no reason for her not to answer. Besides, she would be lost without him, she had to talk to someone. "Not yet, though we're pretty sure that he killed a man via suicide last night. The victim was a major criminal and had no obvious reason to kill himself."

Those words angered Teale so much she forgot for a moment she was afraid. you IDIOT! You DONT TELL people this sort of thing! One of the branches of the tree shook, and Teale found she was shaking violently out of anger. Forcing herself to stop, she climbed a little higher and sat on that branch so it wouldn't move anymore.

"Yeah, I heard it, but I guess you're right. I'd love some tea." Even though she seemed to brush it off, she still looked around for the source of the noise. She looked just in time to catch the branches of one of the trees stop waving. It was no cat that had done that, but she remained silent.
