Pokemon - Span the Globe!

[Doom]

Buoy's raging charge halted, and she turned around, and began running back to Miles. In her haste, she used a swift Confuse Ray on her pursuer.

[Icara Hytate]

Afflicted by Confusion Ray, Nate spins around in a circle for a few seconds before smashing into the Pokemon Now! van. Persian came over and began licking Nate's face.

[Doom]

Buoy skipped over to Miles and tugged at his leg with her antennae. "What is, Buoy?" She made a few yelp sounds and motioned over to the van, attempting to recount what had taken place. Miles said to Hale, "Hold that thought, please." He ran over to the Pokemon Now Van, nodded to the attentive Jamie as he passed her by, then shrieked when he saw Nate laying on the ground, his head spinning. "Buoy, did you do this?" Buoy made something of a shrugging motion, then turned away, not guilt stricken by her actions. Miles bent down and gently shook him, saying, "Snap out of it! The confusion won't last as long if you fight it."

[Icara Hytate]

Nate shook his head a few times and jumped to his feet. "Whoa, that was AWESOME! What a rush!" he exclamed. He then petted Persian while saying to Miles, "Thanks for waking me up. Confusion is pretty epic, though, the smashing face first into a van isn't."

[Doom]

"Yeah. I'm really sorry about that." He turned to Buoy, scowling. She stared back at him, a look ever so slightly resembling smugness. He sighed, then said, "I really hope you aren't hurt. I'm glad you're not mad, though." He extended his hand, and said, "Hi. My name is Miles. The owner of that little rascal over there." He nodded at Buoy.

[Icara Hytate]

Nate nodded toward Bouy, "I'm Nate, non-owner of this Persian." he said, using the showgirl arm revial like in Wheel of Pokemon.

[Doom]

Miles looked puzzled. "Why are you petting this Persian if you don't own it?" Buoy's fear had all but disappear, and she was growling quietly at the Persian, her antennae glowing, without Miles noticing.

[Icara Hytate]

"It's by brother's" he said, "He was a little egg when he left Kanto, so I raised it up to give to him."

[Doom]

"Oh....Oh!" Miles came to a realization. "Is your brother named Hale?" Buoy was steadily moving closer to the Persian, her growl becoming more audible by the inch. Small sparks of electricity were jumping from one antenna to the other.

[Jay]

Jamie finally grabbed Rattata, sighing and holding her. She went to see if the boy was okay, and, apparently, he was just fine. She cocked a brow and resumed leaning on the van, hoping nobody said anything to her. The worst from them, she hoped, would be the nod given to her by this "Miles" boy.

[Icara Hytate]

Nate looked puzzled, then realised what's happening. "He's in the pokemon center isn't he?"

[Doom]

Miles nodded, and said, "We were just talking about you. And by some coincidence, you show up the moment I ask about your arrival. Follow me." Miles turned away, only to see Jamie leaning against the van. This time, she really caught his eye. He stood, not speaking, looking her over for a moment, then heard Buoy's growl just before she attacked. He spun around and snatched her up, and he caught the full brunt of her Thundershock. He collapsed, still holding her tight. "Buoy....W-why are you so aggressive?" She shook and struggled to escape his hold, but was stuck.

Nate ran up to Miles, who collapsed from a thundershock. "That must not be as fun as getting Confusion Rayed." said Nate, who threw a Cheri berry.

[Jay]

Jamie frowned, running up and kneeling by him. Reluctantly, she strted to speak softly. "You okay?"

[Doom]

Releasing Buoy from his arms, he reached for the Cheri Berry and slowly chewed it. After a hard swallow, he said, "I'll be fine. I'm okay." He began to hoist himself up, then shakily stood. He took a moment to regain his balance, then took out his pokeball and withdrew Buoy. "Thanks for the berry..." He leaned against the van and sighed, whispering to himself, "Buoy, what am I gonna do with you?"
