The seven sinful gifts

"Shut up I'm trying to think here," she snapped. She shifted through the tree debris, finding many soaked with blood. "I think our Killer may have slammed our victums head against the tree. That's why it shattered. Then he staggered into the forest..." Pride trailed off and started to follow the blood trail into the forest.

[Raven]

Lust nodded. "I think I'm going to go elsewhere, for now at least... I think I might have found another one," she told him, turning to walk out.

Envy rolled her eyes.

[Dokeshi]

"well have fun I guess... Just be sure to be out of there before I decide to have my fun" He glared at her as he sat on his bed and she walked outside. He layed down and continued his usual gameof stare at the ceiling.

[Raven]

Lust glanced back. "I'll help you... Catch him, I mean," she told Wrath, then she walked down the hill.

[Dokeshi]

"Yeah. whatever I don't need it," He spoke aloud but not loud enough for her to hear clearly. He sighed and rolled over staring at the wall and began to doze off.

[Gifted]

Pride continued wandering in, following the blood trail. When she saw the body her stomach lurched.
She'd sen alot of bodies in her life. She often used to go see her dad when he was working on a case. She'd seen bodies at crime scenes, bodies on autopsy tables, bodies in freezers waiting for an autopsy. Most of them were pretty tame, just the bullet through the temple or the slit in the throat. Occasionally, though, she'd see something a little worse. The specially applied torture marks applied all over a body. someone beaten so bad their skull was crushed in. Even, once, a body with the limbs completley sawed off. Her dad had never found those limbs.
But this was something else. the same prickly plants were wrapped around his ankles, with small stab marks all over his bloody mess of a pair of legs. A plant she'd never seen before, long and smooth wit a point atop it had sliced right through the victums head. On top of that, he had massive three degree burns covering about 60% of his body.
"You m-may want to see this," Pride said shakily. "Or not,. I think we've found our victum,"

[Raven]

Envy sighed. "I don't really care," she replied.

Lust was already gone. She headed back towards Kanon's house, pausing when she finally found it.

[Gifted]

"Well you're cold," Pride said. "Someone died here and it's pretty disgusting. you don't care about a murder?"

[Raven]

"Not particularly, no," Envy replied in a bored tone.

Lust knocked lightly on the door, hoping Kanon wasn't home yet.

[Gifted]

"Then you're heartless," Pride snapped, turning from the body and glaring at Envy. "Why'd you come over here then if you wern't concerned? To watch the show?" she said scathingly.

[Dokeshi]

As Wrath laid on his bed he felt something strange, was this, his heart? For the first time in awhile he had been made aware of one of the good things about being a human. A minute later he also rembered that with every good emotion a negative one with equal or greater value would take its place in due time. His rolled over so his face was in his pillow and dozed off into a deep slumber.

[FoxTrott]

Eventually, Sloth reached the outer limits of the town, towards where the forest was. Feeling that irresistible pull, he dragged himself into the forest. A branch snagged on his cap, and pulled it off, leaving it hanging there as the embodiment of Sloth carried on.

A pungent stench filled his nostrils, and Sloth made a slightly disgusted face. He wandered towards the source of the smell, feeling the tug growing stronger.

Squash.

What...?

Sloth glanced down, and found he had stepped on the source of the smell. Blood seeped out from under his tennis shoe as he lifted it up, and found a hand underneath it. The hand belonged to a now-dead, rather large... thing with vines on it. He looked up, and saw two girls examining the body.

"You didn't do a very good job hiding the evidence," Sloth said in a very monotone voice.

Pride jumped and looked at Sloth. "I'm processing a crime scene," she said. "We found him like this. I suppose you saw the mess on the road back there?"



Kanon was rounding the corner when he saw Lorrie knocking on his door. "What're you doing out this time of night?" he asked a little worriedly. "These streets are pretty dangerous after dark,"
He was worried. Had she seen the mess he'd left behind when he faced the Glut? What the heck was she doing out so late anyways? Was she one of them?

[Raven]

Envy looked up at him, her expression one of pure boredom. "We didn't kill it. We found it. Well, Miss CBI here found it," she said.

[FoxTrott]

"Hmm." Sloth looked down at his foot. "No, I didn't see the mess on the road, but I smelled this from afar." He walked closer to the two girls, so that he was no longer stepping on the body.

"It looks more like a movie scene than a crime scene," he observed, casually running a hand through his oily hair, "Do you have any idea what happened?" Sloth glanced back at the body, and would have retched if he wasn't so detached.
