I nodded. "I'm a pretty good hiker, and lucky for me, I've been getting in shape lately. It might actually be a good idea to take the longer route /around/ the desert... Though that would probably take us through the Rockies... Actually, we might be able to find my grandparents cabin... It might be a good idea. I doubt anyone else would dare going up there when they're desperate... At the same time, there's plenty of firewood, an outhouse, and there are animals around... And I'm pretty sure my grandpa keeps a gun up there in case a bear comes by and tries to attack... We could probably live off that for a while." My eyes glinted mischievously; I could tell. "Plus, while up there I learned that needles off of certain pine trees aren't toxic and they taste citrus-y." I paused. "Of course, like any good plan, there are a few downsides, such as getting there will be... difficult, to say the least."
