"i'll use my gift" i replied walking out our door, across the hall, and knocked on the door...no answer. i lightly tapped the door knob if fell off and the door swung open.

I turned on the lights, looking around, the room had a fridge i opened it, there was 2 bottles of water. I smiled taking one to Raven "here" i said giving it to her.

After my scavenged meal I decided to find some better shelter, if I remembered correctly there was a hotel nearby...maybe I should go check it out, I readjusted my laptop bag, the laptop had been abandoned and now carried supplies I found but didn't need right away. I held onto the pipe, the end was broken off with jagged sharp edges and headed towards the hotel, I found a window and didn't want to bother looking for a door so I smashed it in, making a bit more noise then I expected.

I jumped violently at the smashing sound I heard. "What was that?" I asked, twitching.

I used the pipe to brush away a bit more glass so I wouldn't cut myself when I got in, I slowly started heading towards the stairs, I wasn't sure what I would find here.

"We're on the first floor... And it sounded close... What if-" I stopped, wrapping my arms around my torso. I didn't need to scare myself, the conditions were doing that well enough without my help.

I stepped on the first step of the stairs and it nearly cracked, I heard a noise and turned around and cautiously headed towards it.

I squealed in fright when I heard the stairs squeak and pulled back into the room.
