It has been one week since the internet has shut down. All shipping, trains, and air planes are gone as well. The stores are running low on food. People are grouping together forming gangs, they are looting houses to find anything thing of value,( food, drugs, etc.) Paper money is of no use now.

We'd been stranded in Los Angles for a week longer than we'd expected and I was starting to get the feeling that we wouldn't get out any time soon. I felt bad that I'd convinced Katara to come with me on this misadventure to see my boyfriend. I crouched in the hotel room we'd gotten. On the bright side, we didn't have to pay for the room. Of course, that was mostly because nobody cared about our money. "Are we going to go try to find something to eat again?" I asked Katara. The last time we'd tried finding food, I'd ended up getting a nasty cut on my arm.

what they didn't know was that the high way was jammed, miles of UN moving cars. some people were dead in their car, others left their car.

I raised my eyebrows, totally lost. "For what?" I asked, yawning. I couldn't have gotten more than a few hours of sleep each night for the last week, constantly waking up from nightmares of the apocalypse.

I woke up, and examined my surroundings, completely void of life it seemed..."how did I get into this situation anyways?" All I remembered was coming up to LA for a trip with my mom and grandma... and now here I am sleeping in an alley with no one around me. I stood up, wiping some dirt off of my clothes and slipped into a nearby restaurant... shifting through the broken glass and eventually finding what appeared to be the remains of some sort of dumpling, I brushed it off and ate the food, also bringing along a piece of pipe that broke in case I needed to defend myself...it didn't look like there was anyone else here but it's better to be safe then sorry.
