"Actually, I don't," Kenny replied, still wearing a frown, "If I knew who you were, I would've attacked-slash-flirted first, but I obviously don't know who you are, tree-hater."
"We could try going in one direction until we find something, and then go another direction," suggested Sam, shrugging.

"That could be more trouble than it's worth and would certainly take a lot of energy. It is really the only thing I can think of, though... Wanna climb a tree to try to see something?" Zach asked.
"Or you're acting so I'll let my guard down," Crow accused. "You do look a bit too young, though." Crow snorted. "Either way, have you ever heard of Talesworth or Ravonia?"

"You can climb the tree," Sam replied. She pulled at the hem of her skirt. "I can't climb like this, nor do I want to."
Kenny stared blankly at the man. "No," he said slowly. Tell me he's not confusing me with who I think he's confusing me with who lots of confused people confuse me with... Wait. What?

"Okay, okay. Since you're lighter, I figured you might be able to get higher." Zach shrugged and examined the nearest tree, trying to figure out his way up. He jumped to catch a branch, then pulled himself up. He was quickly finding a route into the tree, and got pretty high, considering he weighed more. He grinned down at Sam, then looked around.
Crow narrowed his eyes. "Or Forli or Panem? Any of the leaders? Fox, Gifted, Rachel?" he asked.

Sam grinned back up at Zach. She had half a mind to make it rain on him up there, just to see his reaction, but figured it wouldn't turn out well.
Kenny shook his head at the mention of all the names. He slid the knife back into his boot. "None of them," he replied, "sound familiar whatsoever." Doubt they'd sound familiar to my commonly-confused-counterpart, either. Something's wrong with this guy.

Crow glared. "Are you or are you not Adam Schneider?" he snapped, obviously becoming annoyed.
"It's really foggy up here... I can't tell how far the trees go," Zach called down. "I'm not sure if the fog or the trees end within your power's reach, though."

Kenny thought for a few moments. "Since saying yes would continue the beatings," he said, "no, I'm not... Adam." His tone escalated from patronizing to venomous at the last word.
"Most likely not!" Sam shouted back up, "You're certain you can't tell how far the trees go?"

"And that's supposed to convince me?" Crow slashed one of his knives at Kenny's shoulder. "If you aren't Adam, who are you?"
"I'm really sure," Zach called. Then quietly added, "If I weren't, I would be trying harder... I've never known you to be so... not you-ish." ((XDDDDD))

"I heard that," Sam scowled, loud enough for only her to hear.
Kenny ducked, drawing his knife and strafing behind the man in one swift motion. He hooked his arm around his neck, and held the knife close to his face. "I'm Kenny," he explained, frowning, "Considering some of the characters that have passed by my tree this past little while, Adam's probably somewhere in the forest. I've no idea what you want with him, but if it involves violence, I'd be glad to help you."

Zach came back down from the tree. "So what's our plan?" he asked Sam.
Crow snorted. "How do you know him?" he asked, trying to play his cool even though the younger man had just one-upped him.

Kenny kept the knife to the stranger's face, not wanting to get shanked for letting his guard down. "We're family," he sighed, "You can't choose your family, but you can eliminate them."

Sam closed her eyes, and pointed westward. "That way," she said, opening her eyes, "Let's go that way."
"My thoughts exactly," Kenny murmured. He spoke louder when he addressed the older man. "We're... twins. Identical twins. Again, you can't choose your family."
